I want to clear a few things up guys, but before I do, I need to say this.
If you want to wrant or question my motives, go do it somewhere else or with someone else. Being on here is NO fantacy for me as it is for many on here.
A bit of history. I took androcur for 18 months eventually 5mg was sufficient. My sex drive went from being a dog on heat and as I am now to nothing UNLESS I was physically stimulated and even then my erection was not very.... well hard. My morning erections also went. When I used to cum, it was clear. My prostrate also reduced in size significantly.
My body hair changed significantly on my back, front and arms it disapeared and on my legs it almost all but disappeared. My skin softened significantly also. I didnt have any hot flashes or anything.
The main difference I noticed was.... well.... ME. I was a nicer person. I knew that and so did everyone else. I wasn't as agressive.

zac
need more information
what kind of medical professional
also ..when it comes to pain in the testicles i have talked to many urologists that will remove one testicle at a time
they always have a problem removing both at once
i think they like to spread the risk around
I helped a guy where i live get castrated
i sent him to a urologist a long time back...he told the urologist he had testicle pain..the urologist suggested the usual treatments..he told the urologist he had no insurance for the fancy treatments he wanted to do
the urologist removed his testicle in 2 weeks in the hospital
2 months later he went back and asked the urologist to remove the other testicle ...he refused
I gave the guy a name of urologist number 2
he went to urologist number 2 and had a appointment to remove the testicle in his office a week later
since one testicle was already gone..the urologist assumed there had to be something to it.
getting the first testicle removed is much easier than the last testicle
i know its not the way most of us plan it
it gets you castrated eventually
it means running from one urologist to another
i would have no problem with a vet doing a castration..they do it more than any doctor except for dr kimmel

Re: What do I need to make sure, before, during and after getting castrated?
After my last post I have exchanged several e-mails with Zac that did tell more.
As to what to expect after the surgery has been covered in many threads. Guess I can list many of them again.
Post OP should be kept rested laying down. Laying on back would most likely of choice. Head can be elevated.
Keeping ice on the groin area is most important. Not direct contact but in an ice bag with a cloth such as a towel between the skin. You want to keep the area cool but not over chilled. The cool will help reduce the swelling. Most swelling will occur the first day. Crushed ice works the best. Ice bag over night may not be recommend but one or two cubes in the bag may be OK. The cool water is the key. The ice would be for the first 2 days.
While rest is important you do need to walk around some. Like most operations in a hospital. The nurse will want to get you on your feet several times a day and do some walking. This helps keep the blood from doing any settling in the lower part of the body.
Compression of the groin helps greatly. Wearing a supporter (jock strap) is what many doctors will give a patient when they are sent home. The compression helps keep everything from moving around. Keeps the stitches or staples from letting go. You will find that it will make things feel better when not bouncing during the healing.
You will need to get a box of male incontinence pads. The pads that a guy would wear if he has problems with bladder control. This will be used to adsorb the discharge from the incision. The amount will vary from person to person. The length of time is also an unknown.
Clothes. Post OP sweat pants are the ones of choice. They are loose and comfortable. You do not want anything restricting in any way for the first few days. Wearing the ice bag will not fit well in other clothes. Wearing the pad will increase the size in your groin area in your pants. This may be a problem in public if clothes are tight.
Cleaning Follow what your medical adviser tells you. General thoughts. No baths while the stitches are in. Some say that if no puss is seen one may take a shower in three days. Only letting the water pass over the incision. Do not wash or spray water on the incision.
Expect black and blue in the groin around the base of the penis. The sack will have far more. Colors will change over time as they vanish. If you see more black and blue later then something maybe wrong. Sack will be swollen. The amount is hard to say. If it starts getting the size of orange contact your medical adviser or other medical help. If you start to have a fever a infection is in your body and needs to be taken care of very fast.
Removal of stitches or staples. Refer to your medical adviser.
Healing times Try to rest the first few days. Try to do very little lifting the first week. Only lift medium weight things in the second week. Least is best. Lift with straight back. Bending over while lifting can cause problems in the healing. Some people have the incision mostly healed in 2 weeks. While other have 2 months till the incision is fully closed. Think what you do the first few days has a lot to do on the healing time.
Wish you all the luck and fast recovery.

Some questions for Zac..
1. ide like to know more about your cutter. how long you have you been friends, how you met him, how do you know he is what he says he is, why you feel safe putting your life in his hands
2. what other body parts would you let an unliscenced surgeon do a major surgery on ?
3. why did you change your profile around, did your fantasy interest in castration dissapear recently ?

Re: What do I need to make sure, before, during and after getting castrated?
To answer your questions;
First of all I am not prepared to carry on allowing people to refer to a qualified consultant urologist as a cutter. He is a medical professional. I've know this person on and off for 5 years as my father, mother and best friend are all Consultant Psyciatrists or retired )registered to the BMC - British medical Council). My best friend as known about my testicle pain since I've been getting it. During our long friendship, I've met many people who work for the health service in the UK and a while ago I came across the consultant urologist who happens to head one of the urology departments for a very large hospital in the North West of the UK. I've spoken with him at length and it was he would gave me options, one of which was the procedure I want.
He's not unlicensed and I wouldnt allow an unlicensed surgeon to do anything on me. As for 'major', bilateral orchiectomy is not considered by the profession as a 'major' surgery.
Well again here is where you are incorrect. My profile has NEVER had castration as a fantasy - NEVER - PERIOD. I changed my profile because it wasn't accurate and still isn't because it doesn't allow specific reasons for wanting the procedure to me ticked - ie 'Need to get them removed due to 3 years of continual pain'. The only thing that has changed is the smooth look as now I am strongly considering getting prosthetic implants immediately after the bilateral because that is what has been recommended. Unlike many on here, I am not a fantasist, stawker nor come on here to read stuff to jack off to. I am here to try and learn about (a) what I'm going through (b) what to expect pre, during and post op and (c) some friends who can understand what MEDICALLY I'm going through and (d) to build a pre operative support structure.

Re: What do I need to make sure, before, during and after getting castrated?
it is very difficult to find a surgeon to do this
i had to settle for a vet that was very qualified to do mine
then again ..it was a vet i knew very well..and we took the safest approach possible
one thing that would really help is to share our contacts
that would save a lot of searching for others
i had 2 urologists that cared for me about 10 years after i was castrated that did orchiectomies in the office
they have both retired about 5 years ago
you could call the office and ask if they did elective orchidectomies..you always got a quick yes from the office personel
if you call now you get a flat no...or they say to look on the internet
