It seems to me that there is no viable way to perform a non-surgical castration either painlessly or otherwise. Consider the following methods:
1) Burdizzo & elastrator: Both of these methods, or any other form of vascular clamping, cause testicular pain & swelling. I do not know to what degree, as we all have our own pain thresholds. Has anyone found a way of effectively killing this pain?
2)Chemical vascular block (i.e. Gonex): Again, we have the painfull swelling. Has anyone ever successfully used this method?
3)Chemical castration (i.e. Depo-Provera & Androcure): Nowhere can I find any results indicating that any anti-androgens lead to permanent testicular atrophy. Perhaps it is because these substances are relatively new, or this is a new use for them. Or maybe doctors believe that this is an unethical use for them, as even temporary libido suppression is controversial.
If anyone knows any more on these subjects than I do I am sure your contributions would be more than welcome.

Re: On Non-surgical Castration.
Madscientist,
I understand your urge to get a painless method. I think you are also correct that any major body modification (surgical or otherwise) will cause pain. The body cares about all its parts, and if you remove, kill, damage, or alter your body you are going to register pain.
However, people subject themselves to pain for body modification all the time. I've known some women who got boob jobs and they couldn't even wash their own hair for weeks. Facelifts, sex changes, etc. will all be very painful.
I think pain is the price we have to pay. Of course it is nice to get a "discount". Good luck!

Re: On Non-surgical Castration.
As for Androcur, I understand over a long period of time the testies will shrink, mine are much smaller from taking this drug. The problem that you will have is that if you stop any of the castration drugs in a short time everything will return to normal. So, the only thing I can suggest is that you try one of the chemical castration drugs for a period of time, like a year and see how you like being a eunuch, then you will be able to make the decision as to what to do with your balls.
For more information on Androcur and its effects send me an email or catch me on the chat.

I think that a local anethetic wouls be fine for a burdizzo castration. You could probably even get away with a bit of ice and some vicodin. I really wouldn't worry about the pain all that much on that one. All you would be doing is crushing some 3-4mm cords that supply blood to the testicles. Shouldn't really be all that much pain there. It's kind of scary how easily you could achieve a castration with a burdizzo clamp. You could be sterile and sexless before you know it.
Good Luck,
