Question about TG HRT

Post by TGAmanda (imported) »

Hi everyone. I'm new here and I have a question about HRT. I'm a

transsexual and I've been on HRT for over a year. In that time

I have feminized really well.

My regime has been spiro and Estofem (17b E) . I started out

taking spiro and worked my way up to 75mg day. I only weigh

145 with no body fat and that was enough to stop erections and reduce

my T to female levels. After a month I started sublingual E and gradually

increased to 8mg over the first three months. I have backed off that to 6mg

for the last four months and I'm down to 4mg this last month. This is

a cost thing more than anything. I'm also down to 25mg of spiro and have not

seen any changes in erections and libido.

I have between A and B cup breasts and saying that they are

tender is really a joke. They hurt bad. I have a very firm area larger than

the areola maybe a little larger than a golf ball and the remainder is

very full and firm. So I think they are still growing and I could not

be happier. My mom and sister were both A cup and I've past that.

My problem at this point is I cannot afford SRS and I do

not want to be castrated because the scrotum tissue is needed for

vaginal construction. I really miss orgasms and sex. I can get erect

and orgasm but it takes a long time and I get so sore. My libido is

also very low. I think a lot of it has to due with how sore my breasts are

I don't even like to move much less feel sexual. I've also heard that girls

that are able to orgasm before SRS tend to be able to after so I don't

want to lose that forever.

Can I cycle off my E regime for a period of time to hopefully let

my T start up again without effecting long-term breast development?

I would like to get my erections/libido back and it would be really awesome

to be able to touch my breasts without wincing.🙋 I don't plan to

stay off long, just long enough to get things re-started. There are so

many TG porn stars that are fully feminized that I know there must be a way.

Has anyone that has stopped and then restarted HRT gotten good

breast development after re-starting? And do things restart after

being on HRT for over a year?

This is a really awesome forum and I'm looking forward to hanging

around. :)

TIA :) Mandy

The breast tissue should remain, but thanks to fat redistribution your breasts may shrink. At least that's how it had worked for me.

Well I would not juggle back and forth between your HRT and letting your Testicles start running again. I understand your need for sexual release but you DO know that erection is not in any way required for orgasm. Right? I can speak first hand (cough) ahh err having issues in that area.

A couple of ways to do this that might work best. Buy a Hitachi Magic Wand Vibe. Apply it with or without a towel (To lower the vibration) and relax. I think fairly soon you will have a very nice surprise. Sexual release may be a bit different now that your on female hormones but I think it can be made to work. And from what I've read staying orgasmic gives you a much better chance of being orgasmic after SRS.

Orchiectomy only removes the testes. The scrotum may shrink a bit but talk to one of the good SRS doctors about how much this will effect the outcome of your SRS. Dr Bowers (I think) said it doesn't impact depth. And in any event after a year on HRT you probably have notices that your testicles have atrophied? This is probably atrophied them to such a degree after a year that they might not come back to normal level even if you did go off HRT. Best to stay on your hormones so that you don't have to deal with hot flashes and all the rest that comes with that. *My opinion.

Good luck! Get a good doctor and do what they say!

I bet taking in a small dose of Testosterone Propionate would not interfere with breast development and feminization, but would still kick the sex drive up, as Propionate is used by even women with no masculising effects, if the dose is kept low. Propionate is rather weak, in androgenic terms, yet is known to work for sex drive at a lower dose. I have seen post menopausal women use it for HRT with absolutely no masculising effects at all. If it were me, I would try out a 10mg shot twice per week. This should be plenty for sex drive, yet is still a very low dose in terms of masculization. Because the shots are twice per week, I would use a 1/2 inch insulin syringe in the side of the leg, as it will be deep enough there on a lean person, and plus injection volume is so low, you can get away with it just fine. And even subcutaneous shots may be fine if injection sites are rotated. Yes, oil based shots can be done under the skin if volume per injection is low. 10mg is only 1/10 of a CC with Propionate. As for Spiro, if I'm not mistaken, and I might be though, but if I'm right, it interferes with testosterone working, so you may want to drop that and use something that causes only testosterone shutdown instead.

I'm really try to stay away from anything that is not natural... that

is one reason I'd like to get off spiro completey. The way it seems to

Yea I know there have been times when I was not really in the mood but

trying to keep the stuff working when I just use a vibrator and I orgasm

very tender on my boy parts now.

Oh yea... very small and mushy, and yea... I know T may not come back

at all. I guess I need to think about this

menopause type symptoms.

Out of personal curiousity, how long HAVE you been on HRT? I'm not exactly sure, it was the end of last summer so about

15 months??

Thank you everyone :) I'll think about this more. I'll be around, this forum

is great :)

I believe you will still need Spiro unless you do have a bilateral Orchiectomy. Your testicles are probably not able to come back 100% but if you go off Spiro they will "try" and for a m2f transexual larger male level doses of testosterone you do not want.

As to using a vibe many (most) women (and men) find direct contact to be too strong so use a hand towel or two or three between it and the vibe. You should be able to find a good combo that works. Orgasm may become different as HRT "rewires" you but it will be just as pleasurable just different. If I were in your shoes I would make a point of trying to stay "orgasmic" as I transitioned. From what I've read its a good bet to allow you to continue to be orgasmic after SRS/GRS.

"natural" vrs drugs is a good point and perhapes Spiro fits that synthetic or unnatural catagory? I really don't know. I do have opinions on using only bio identical hormones vrs weird synthetics that only exist in labs. One thing that might be of value to consider is talking to your doctor about using a bio identical compounded cream that has the right female mix of hormones once your post op. I "think" this solution is better then just using injectable estrogen or estrogen only patches, gels, etc. Women need testosterone in female levels for example. And part of the reason for this is sex drive. You just need to regulate how much and not let it creep from the female range to the male range.

Anyway, more food for thought!

If you really want to go off spiro I think you should consider GRS or Orchiectomy. But that just my 2 cents worth. ;)

Keep in mind that castrated women use testosterone patches to restore their sex life.

I still had sex drive after 6 years of estrogen and progesterone only. No Spiro!

At 6yrs, my scrotum was flat and taut and my testicles could not be felt unless I missed my monthly injection when it felt like a short grain rice. My male sex was replaced by female one and I needed lots of foreplay to get 'there'. Foreplay on HRT... mmmmm
