The issue may be whether the machine is relatively new and was built with Vista in mind. Old machines may have trouble being converted. I've had Vista Home Premium, SP1, for some time now on a new machine, and it works perfectly.

If you are thinking Kubuntu - stick to Kubuntu 8.04. Kubuntu 8.10 means Vista in Hottentot. I got SUSE 10.1 in an old Dell 340 and as soon as I get an AGP video card that understands LCD screens I will start using it a bit and upgrade to SUSE 10.3. I'll be damned if I go to 11.0 without checking the SUSE forums and see if KDE 4.1 is as screwed up with SUSE as it is with Kubuntu. If KDE 4.2 doesn't cure a lot of problems. Kubuntu 9.04 needs to be merely an updated 8.04.

Right.... I speak English (Midwest American version) and IRS. What language are you speaking? Or are you just showing off your collection of nickels?
