California's Prop 8

Post by IbPervert (imported) »

I have seen hear and there people talking about prop 8 hear in California, and felt it was time to have a thread for it....

On tonight's local news was a story about how the other side is sending out "Threatening Letters (http://www.cbs8.com/stories/story.144185.html)" to anyone that has donated more then $10,000 to the No on 8 (there is a story and a video at that link". These people are threatening to out anyone that has donated more then $10,000 to the No camp unless they also donate a similar amount of money to the other side.

The other night they had a story about how people are pulling down the signs from both sides of the Prop 8, and defacing them.

If your living in California please vote NO on Prop 8.

If you know people in California give them a call (or two or three) and ask them to Vote No on Prop 8, and then ask them to ask there friends and family. This prop must be defeated because the rest of the country is watching. Think of this...if Prop 8 passes the right wing christian bigots will spread it across the country!

No on Prop 8

October 24, 2008

Apple is publicly opposing Proposition 8 and making a donation of $100,000 to the No on 8 campaign. Apple was among the first California companies to offer equal rights and benefits to our employees’ same-sex partners, and we strongly believe that a person’s fundamental rights — including the right to marry — should not be affected by their sexual orientation. Apple views this as a civil rights issue, rather than just a political issue, and is therefore speaking out publicly against Proposition 8.
