Report Post problem
If the name of the "Report Post" button were changed to "Report offensive/objectionable/spam Post", it might reduce the number of incorrect usages.
Re: Report Post problem
If there a bit more common sense in the world, it would help enormously as well.
If you're going to "report" something, then one would think that you see a problem with that something and want to let someone else know about it, so that proper action can be taken.
The name of the button is also encoded into VBulletin's software, and there's no way to change it.

Re: Report Post problem
Paolo, how are you doing these days? Does dealing with one brutally stupid thread or post after another ever make you want to retire as Gran Commissar of the EA and retire to a monastery up in the Klondike somewhere?:)
Re: Report Post problem
Yeah, it does.
That and some of the disgusting stories being posted lately.
I mean, no one here minds a good emasculation, (isn't that why we're all here?) but damn...

Actually you can change it as it is a vB phrase, not part of the gif:
Languages & Phrases > Search in Phrases;
type "report post" in Search for Text;
edit the one under Postbit Phrases Containing 'report post'.
You don't get much space in the text box and since most people don't hover over buttons it probably won't do any good. What would be more effective is to edit the text below the message window in the report post form:
Languages & Phrases > Search in Phrases;
type "this is only to be used" in Search for Text;
edit as needed
You can make a whole paragraph detailing what it should be used for and what it should not be used for and end it with something like:
Abuse of this feature will result in disciplinary action being taken against YOU!
People tend to ignore a single line of text but do pay attention to paragraphs.

Re: Report Post problem
Perhaps because you pose questions in threads that have nothing to do with what you are carping about. Try following the rules of the chat and you wont get bounced. Meanwhile, try writing to the moderator of the chat and ask him.
Bad day! Your it!
