Quick, quick...please help...How does one make a plain salmon omlette taste better, or at least edible?

(and remember...resources could be limited)🙋

In my opinion, salmon is not a particularly tastey fish when cooked, sort of bland to me, salmon IS excellent sushi, but that is irrelavent to your desparate situation.

So, what IS very relavent, are three common and cheap ingredients that will be perfect for a salmon and egg dish; Tabasco sauce, ketchup and sour cream. Believe me, this really works.

If you have the Tabasco sauce, mix a little of it into ketchup. I would guess about a tablespoon of Tabasco sauce to a cup of ketchup. If no Tabasco sauce, then just straight ketchup, but the tabasco taste really helps.

Since every individual has their own preference, serve the Tabasco/ketcup sauce in a dipping bowl or cup on the side, along with a dollop or sour cream on the side.

For myself (and not for company) I just squirt bit of ketchup on top of my omelette, and then Tabasco sauce on top and mix it with my fork, but I am a redneck slob.

Thank you for the suggestions. This omlette was offered and I accepted, so as far as how it arrived on my plate...well options were limited. I went with a spagetti sauce, basil of some kind. It actually was pretty yummy!;)

Another good way to enjoy salmon with eggs is to make Eggs Benadict and substitue smoked salmon for the Canadian bacon. English muffin, smoked salmon, poaced egg and then the hollandaise sauce. Sunday I had tomato halves that were broiled with cheese and topped with thin slices of steak, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce and what a great taste combination. Served with fresh fruit and the company was also wonderful.
