My son is also an eunuch.
It turns out that my oldest son is also an eunuch thanks to his medications for bi-polar disorder and schizophrenia. He is now 41 and has been chemically castrated for perhaps 10-years. He can still get an erection, but has great difficulty managing a satisfactory orgasm.
So we are a family of eunuchs as my wife also has no ovaries or womb.

I still don't know what to make of being castrated by my medications. I currently am not taking it again. I don't like being a eunuch. However, I do understand why someone might well want to be a eunuch. It does solve a lot of problems.

Blaise,
From your recent posts it seems apparent that whatever your medications have been on lately they really led you to unleash a flood of political (not sexually related) postings.
Sounds like you are currently caught between a rock and a hard place.
You don't like the low libido of being a eunuch,
but you like the problems that low libido seems to solve. (whatever the problems are).
Welcome to the curse of being male.
And they say that men don't have emotions.
We have emotions, usually strong ones, anger ones, frustration ones, not usually sensitive ones, and they are all bottled up and worse than the worst case of bowel constipation.
Hey, I'm no doctor, but from what I have seen in others, you may not have found the right combination and dosage of drug or drugs to get you to where you want/need to be.
Remeber, being hypogonatic (low or no testosterone) can cause you to loose concentration and interest in almost everything else (besides sex); you might feel anger, you might feel like crying, you might feel like curling up and hiding from the world. When you learn and understand the side effects of hypogonadism some of it can be put to rest by exercising your mind over matter powers.
Hang in there. Work with your doctors until you find that "sweet spot" that gives you mental and physical balance. You need to be "one" with your doctor and need to have one who is trustworthy and experienced. There are more than a few out there who literally practice on you with different drugs until they happen by accident to stumble on one that works.
Meanwhile, as they alter your mind and body with chemical stimulants, you are going through an unpleasant life.

Bi-polar and schizophrenia both. Sorry to hear that.
What's the who, how, why of his chemical castration.
Was this an intentional process to reduce his libido, or just some side effect of treatments?
It would seem to me that he isn't really fully chemically castrated if he can get erections and get any kind of orgasm at all. Sounds like he is in some kind of half way libido limbo and might be better off with no libido at all.

He's not real happy about not being able to have an orgasm. Other than that, he is accepting of it.

Failure to orgasm is not the same thing as chemical castration. He is probably experiencing what is called retarded ejaculation, which is often a side effect of most SSRIs
