If There's a Problem ...

I just received a rather perplexing email regarding censorship at the Archive. I do not understand WHY I got it.

If there's a problem with posts not showing up or stories submitted that vanish into the subether, I want to say this for the record - I'm not a psychic. If something goes wrong on your end, TELL me, or Talula, or Bboy or make another post.

Also, the only modifications that "I" do to submissions are correct TYPOS in the title. For example, casterattion will be changed to castration, etc., etc. The other is to add something that the Author may have missed. If there's penectomy, and that box didn't get checked, I'll add it on. If something in it made me nauseous, I'll put the WARNING tab on. If I puke, I'll add that comment, too. To the best of my knowledge, there's no censorship going on here.

I DO NOT alter stories, but I do REJECT those that are off topic or contain NO references to castration. That's if it's anonymous. If there's no name/email submitted, I can't track down who posted it. If there is, I will happily email the Author and say something like "hey, there's no castration in here?!" I don't copy and run the text through my own spell check either. I don't have the time to fully edit. I have corrected a few bad typos in posts here, though, esp. those full of VB Code that got mixed and were a mess.

There has been one instance lately where a story was posted to the message boards, and that thread got a link put in it and the text deleted. This part of the Archive is for the board, the story Archive is for stories.

In closing, if you posted something here OR there and it disappeared and I didn't comment about it, that's a sure sign that a computer somewhere ate it.

Try to keep in mind that there are a LOT of comptuers between you and here ... and things do go wrong from time to time.
