I indeed had two test periods with androcur. The first one I had at the end of 2006. You can find some posts of this experience on the forum. It was a very positive experience. 2x50 mg did more than enough. No more sex thoughts and a completely free feeling of mind.

Now recently I had a second test run. Although the first experience was very positive, I could only take the drug for two weeks on the second trial. After a few days I had no energy left, felt really empty and was lingering to depression. I quit the medication and fortunately I recovered.

I still don't know what happened exactly but androcur gave me then a very bad feeling. It's only now, more than two months later I'm more or less like before.

Nevertheless I do not masturbate that much any more and I do not like any more my electromasturbation activities.

It is very, very strange what a change of hormones can do to a otherwise perfect normal, educated man of 34 years old, 75 kg.

I still have half a bottle on the shelf. I will see later whether I will give it a thirth try.

You see: it is very powerful. Be careful for what you are wishing for.

I really hope you can achieve you're goals.

Take Care !

Vesal !

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about the second trial run going bad. You might want to try a less aggressive medication like Depot Provera. I tried a single shot a couple of years ago and had a mild yet positive experience with it. It took the edge off for a few weeks and it seemed to be easy on my body. The problem was that I didn't follow up with more injections so I never achieved my goal. The only reason i stopped was because of personal issues which made it difficult to be neutered at the time.

I'm aware of the risks of depression either from the drug or from my falling testosterone levels. I'm staying optimistic on this because I've never been depressed for more than a day or two, and it's only been when something really bad or extremely stressful has taken place for a length of time. I think I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I've been depressed. I'm still taking it seriously and if it happens I'll do my best to deal with it.

As far as fatigue is concerned at present I'm pretty active, I work out and other than sinus problems I'm healthy and full of energy. I know my energy and stamina are bound to decrease and I accept that but I don't want to feel dead on my feet. If I can get rid of my sex drive and everything that goes with it and as a result only be able to do half as much in the gym I'll be happy with no regrets. I've found that exercise is very affective at getting rid of mild depression as well as staying busy while avoiding stress when ever possible.

Best of luck to you in the future and I hope that you find what you're looking for.

Nathan

Hi Nathan:

I have been reading your post with great interest, because I plan on going on pretty much the same regime in the next 2 weeks.

Please keep us updated on any changes you experience. I hope you get the desired results.

Thanks for the encouragement and sure thing, I'm documenting everything in detail for others and for myself so I know exactly what has taken place and when. It would be nice to have a doctor on board with this process to cover all the bases but most don't want to deal with over active sex drives. I'm just thankful that the medication is available and that this forum is here when I need it.

Tomorrow which is Tuesday Aug 26 will be day 5 for me and so far no positive changes to note. Something unusual did happen today most likely as a result of yesterdays dose. I was out of town longer than I expected and I ran out of pills so when I got home I took the entire daily dose at once. The next day when i woke up I noticed that my penis was constantly leaking pre cum. It lasted about 6 hours and then dried back up. I leaked enough to lightly dampen a paper towel that I placed in my underwear to absorb it. Besides for that i feel good and my body is tolerating things very well so far. By the time you start your medication it will have been almost 3 weeks for me and by then I should definitely be noticing something.

Good luck with your chemical castration, I hope it goes well.
