Google blocking?

A problem has arisen over the past couple of weeks. I maintain a website and a messageboard with similar text, for an acquaintance. Recently the visitor count to the website has dropped drastically, but not to the message board. Google does not list at all if i enclose a unique phrase in quotes, but will list the message board if the quotes are omitted. The website is on an Exactpages sub-domain, I wonder if this is the cause. There is no change to the source code, and I can find the URL as I know where to find it, but is Google blocking others from doing the same?
