I had to read this one about 3 times before I decided to post it.

This is a short story about one man's altered perceptions of his body while under the influence of acid. No partner-sex, but it certainly makes you think when you read it. Not a tale for the delicate of heart, either.

Very well done.

I used to drop almost every weekend back in late high school and a couple years after that; can't say there is any reduction in pain, at least not on the max two hits that I ever did in a night. Personally, I never got any real proper hallucinations, either; always felt a bit ripped off about that, but it caused plenty enough other strangenessess in my head to make it my favorite drug at the time. Haven't touched the stuff in way over a decade, now. Dang, those were fun times...

Wild, interesting, stuff, acid. For a while back in the 60s I did it at least once a week. Don't regret it at all. I had some mushroom back in the 80s. That was even better. If I had ready access to some mushrooms, I'd try them again.

Funny thing about when I was doing acid. I developed almost photographic memory. I could look at a long string of numbers, 20 digits or more, without repeating a single one of them in my head, then write them down perfectly ten minutes later. I was working for Boeing at the time and had to record serial numbers off of equipment I'd tested. I would just look at the serial number on a piece of equipment down in the equipment compartment of an airliner and write it down after returning to the cockpit some minutes later.

I freaked out a quality control guy by doing that once, but when he checked it out, he found that I had remembered it correctly. It's not something I could do before taking acid or something I could do after I stopped taking it.

I so hear that... orgasms that take over everything. And that one word you used, intensity; that's the heart of acid right there. That rolling wave that pushes and drags you through any experience... I fuckin' felt time during good rushes.

The very first time I ever dosed, it was not by choice. The girl I was with at the time (the one-armed girlfriend) had asked me if I WOULD dose with her and I said I would. I didn't expect her to spike my iced tea the next day.

We were just laying around in bed when it first took hold. The initial tingle I didn't particularly notice, as I thought it was just the excitement of knowing I was most likely going to get laid really soon. (I would recognize it now.)
