Hot Flash Question.

The topic of hot flashes (flushes) is interesting. I am a eunuch and have experienced T levels from 1400 (way over the top) to 14 (basically none). I have experienced hot flashes at all levels of T ABOVE 150 or so. When my T levels were at castrate level or below (14) I did not experience any hot flashes. In the range of 600 trough to 900 peak I experience hot flashes regularly. They are never severe, just a nuisance. I never have sweats with them, they are always dry. I have taken my temp and BP and they have never been elevated during hot flashes. I know this seems contrary to what most experience but that's how I react. I have been taking DepoTesterone Cyp when on T and inject .3cc (60mg) of Depo twice weekly to keep the spikes and subsequent development of estrogen as low as possible.

Do any others have similiar experiences with injections, hot flushes, etc.

This is presnip what had happened to me once but I don't know since I never took my temp. However I would turn visibly red which I do with alcohol too and can be potentially embarrassing in and of itself. Once I had one so major during the dead of winter that I was lying down on the park bench outside the library with only a t-shirt and pants on still sweating and watching snow flakes falling down on top of me wondering if I should get to the hospital or if I would get reported for behaving like a druggie or something. That was my worst one.

I had hot flashes when I my testosterone level was low. I did not really think about them, but I had them fairly often. And they felt intense.

I have high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and heaven knows what else.

Funny you should mention "Lili" Marlene, as we call her. She and her pet person are threatening to get married. I suppose this was predictable since they show every sign of being truly in love. I'm delighted with the prospect of being a bridesmaid ('cause I'll have to have dress made AND I get to shop for yet more new shoes...Yayyyy!)

Frankly, while I believe they are serious re having him snipped, the logistics might be too great a hurdle. While Barry and I may be invited to "prep" him and witness the event we're doubtful that an MD will permit us to be present for the actual snip. I've heard that Dr. Kimmel won't permit witnesses and that might force them to patronize an MD in Mexico, as did Barry and his "witness" (his total bitch-hag mother.)
