Help - no captcha

I've just attempted to post my latest factual historical story, 'BYZANTINES β : CARZIMASIA', but no captcha has appeared at the bottom of the submission page & so my attempts to send are blocked. I've e-mailed Paolo over the matter but I know that he's a very busy man so, if anyone else can kindly advise me how to overcome this problem more quickly, I'd be most grateful!

CAPTCHA or whatever the hell it is relies on Java Script to work. If your Java is turned off, out of date, or you're on a shared computer without it or with it blocked, it will not work and you'll never even see the verification prompt.

If you're running Firefox with the NoScript add-on, make sure you allow this site in the pop-up preferences for NoScript.

Many thanks for your help, Paolo, in posting my latest story.

I don't share my computer or run Firefox but shall check my Java situation. However, the captcha was present & bypassed correctly when I last posted a story, suggesting my Java was compatable then, & so I'm bemused why it didn't even appear this time.

I've just, hopefully successfully, posted my latest story, 'BYZANTINES γ : PORPHYROGENTIUS'. In doing so & unlike before, the captcha was visible & subsequently bypassed. However, I've made no changes whatsoever to my Javascript. I can therefore only presume that the previous trouble was some form of temporary technical glitch!
