androcur speeds up MPB

I went to my doctor and told him i was on androcur to treat my hairloss,

he said that rather than stopping or slowing down mpb it would speed the process up a lot i asked him how this is and he reckons he has seen this first hand in some others,i am at a loss to how androcur can not help MPB.

Cyproterone is used for women who have too much androgen production and/or seem to be overly sensitive to androgen activity in their bodies. Cyproterone acetate is used for acne and/or overactive oil glands and hirsutism as well as androgen dependent hair loss.

Notice the last part androgen dependent hair loss. That would address your MPB. Proscar reduces just some of the male hormones to stop the MPB. Androcur stops all the testosterone.

I would be very interested in what information he has on how androcur would speed up MPB.

I pulled this from the Propecia site. The common drug use to help with male pattern hair loss. This drug works on one part of testosterone. Androcur works on all parts.

Propecia is Proscar or finasteride
