Orchiectomy most cost effective

On a thread last month, I was arguing with someone who said that surgical castration isn't used for advanced prostate cancer. Well, here's an article where the medical community claims it is actually the most cost effective method. I can see where Medicare might stop paying for hormonal castration based on these sort of savings:
