As most of you know, this inept wolf uses an iMac computer. My printer is a Lexmark 1300 series.
The other night in chat my friend Markle suggested I could not print in color but just in black. I liked the idea as 99% of the time I'm just copying text. However, if I'm copying a summary of a program like Nova, there are colors involved.
My question is how do I set up my computer to tell it to print only in black and not in color.
I looked in my book, Mac OSX for Dummies but was unable to find what I wanted. Is it as simple as removing the color ink cartridge from the printer?
I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Re: Printing Inquiry
I don't know about Macs, but on a PC, the LexMarks I once had all did the same thing:
You hit PRINT, and an option box came up.
You hit PROPERTIES and surfed through tabs until you found options for "color" or "black". This setting on the older Z series would hold until you changed it back, too.
