This might be hard to implement, but I think there should be check boxes at the end of each story. The reader should be able to check one of the following:
excellent
very good
good
fair
poor
horrible
This way readers could leave feedback easily without having to write anything.

Since the comment section has been opened up to non-members for feedback to authors there has been more comments than ever. I have seen more comments in the past 2 months than in the past 5 years. Members seem to take a cue from non-members here.
