I'm back...
I'm back...
Well, after being without Internet since last Friday, I'm back.
The Deathstar was temporarily knocked out by flooding.
The water is finally starting to go down, in most area, and utilities are getting back to normal. We received ~10" of rain in one night - a whole summer's worth. It's just been unbelievable here, and many areas of southern Indiana got it worse than we did.

It is akin to being electronically castrated, no?

To explain Paolo's lack of Internet frustration:
Sister Kristoff - Try to imagine being able to log on the Message Boards but not being able to post or edit...especially horrible if you saw someone flaming the good name of myself, Paolo or worse, calling the Red Nun, a Mormon missionary.

Paolo sent me a photo of his road, taken from his driveway. The whitewater rapids crossing it just downhill from his house looked perfect for kayaking....

Sorry to hear about the flooding. I was born in Terre Haute and remember the Wabash flooding quite regularly and then moved to Indpls and didnt see much flooding. I miss Indy, and sometimes wish I was back. Colorado is beautiful but Brown County in the fall is unrivaled. Hope things get back to normal for you soon.

Re: I'm back...
I attended Christian Theological Seminary during the school year 1967-68, My school was situated on a bluff over the White River. The setting was absolutely beautiful, though the city was worse for wear at the time. To boot, the school's buidling were designed by a fine architect--Edward Barnes. I was there from late August to early March and then visited briefly in May. I saw most of the year in the city. Winter got to me there.tr_80504 (imported) wrote: Fri Jun 13, 2008 11:03 am Sorry to hear about the flooding. Re: I'm back...
Definitively answers the question: Can we get along without our nuts or our internet? Show me a testicle that will answer an email and I'll eat mine-while I still have them-en brochette with garlic butter sauce. I don't miss an eight cylinder car. I don't miss smoking on a plane. I don't miss reasonable and proper speed limits. I don't miss Bullocks Wilshire (surely the patron store of all those interested in being without them). I don't miss Delaware Punch. I don't miss piston engines on planes. I don't miss any of those. But...take my internet and I'll grab your cojones with locktites, rip them off, put on a red dress and dance on them.
Sorry. I feel better now.

Re: I'm back...
I couldn't go more than a few hours w/o internet before I sunk down into a deep depression that only a ping reply could solve.
