No, Mac. The 10 year old is blogging, vblogging, authoring DVDs, ripping DVDs, ripping CDs, using torrents, P2P programs, etc etc etc.
And no, I won't teach you how to do any of that stuff. I don't think he will, either.
Why would I want to something I totally don't understand?
A torrent is another form of file sharing. In stead of downloading a file from single source your downloading from many sources. Also, torrents are typically used to share pirated programs.
That is like saying, I have never had sugar or a used a microwave, so why do I want to try it?
Blogging is the same as a writing a personal journal, but everyone in the world could read it. I think vBloging is a similar concept.
DVD's imagine being able to go out and shoot some video, and come home edit it into your master piece then snail mail it to your grandkids, or if it is good enough be able to sell it through your blog! That is DVD authoring!
Ripping is being able to make a copy of a cd or dvd and place that copy on your computer. A good example is borrowing your friends music cd, and coming home and rip it to your computer. Once there you can listen to it when you want and not have to go borrow it. When the item is on the computer you can author it to your own cd, or even put just your favorite songs on a cd to listen to in the stereo. But wait there is more you can get a mpg player and put the music on it to listen to while shopping, or jogging, etc...
I am glad , in some ways, yours isn't a new Mac as they come with built in web cams now-days. -That- would be some scary stuff ... but probably would make great pieces on YouTube on How instructions, Hahaaha!
