Why are some men such wimps?

Post by FianceeUvBigGuy (imported) »

Yoli, Queen Of The Universe, here.

I got up this morning, hitched up the cruise missile (Bass boat), loaded tackle, then drove MILES to meet my fishing guest at the lake. When I got there, pre-dawn, there was no one in sight. I DO NOT like hanging around the ramp alone, what with all the meth heads and other scum in the area. With pistol within reach I waited for a half-hour. Then the cell rang. It was the sorry jerk that was supposed to meet me ON TIME, saying that it was going to be too windy and he was afraid (are you ready for this?) that I might not be able to operate the boat safely.

Please note that the boat is 21' long, 95" wide at the stern, and is powered by a 250 HP motor. Note also that I can balance on the front deck, even when the boat is rocking a bit, with one dainty foot on the trollmotor pedal.

Also, ALL partners are required to wear an auto-inflating PFD, as do I, at all times AND I NEVER start the big motor without the kill-switch lanyard attached to ME. I have driven this (and other bass boats) OVER three foot waves at 75MPH, almost so smoothly as glass, and never put anyone at risk.

Well, I couldn't tell the SOB what I thought of him 'cause he's a friend of my bosses so I sweetly said I understood.

At that point (6AM) the game warden happened by and stopped to say "Hi" and repeat (for the 100th time) the suggestion that "We oughta get together some time." He kindly backed the trailer and boat in and I cranked up and backed off the trailer. He parked the rig, walked down to the dock and handed me the keys.

On a whim I asked him if he'd like to fish with me for an hour or so. He got into the boat and we fished until 8-ish, each catching a few basses asses Then he backed the trailer in, I drove the boat back on, and he pulled me out.

We exchanged pleasantries, shook hands...OK, a quick hug too...and we went our separate ways. (He said my hair smelled nice...Awwwwww.)

What a waste of time and fuel to fish for so short a time. But...By the time we finished annoying the bass, the wind HAD come up and I didn't feel like dealing with it.

The point of all this is; How can a man in his 40's be so wimpy as to actually stand me up AND not tell me until I'd driven 50-something miles, one-way, through deer-infested country, MAYBE getting 11 miles to the gallon? DAMN!

Thanks for allowing me ranting space on your lovely forum.

Now for a nap, then another shower, get dressed, and shop 'til I drop!

A punishment is definitely in order. Hmmm. Lets see. Can anyone here think of an appropriate punishment for a guy standing up our Yoli?

Missing Yoli is punishment enough. On the other hand how good a swimmer would he be with an anchor tied around his little buoys.

Have Yoli take him on a tour of the lake: Yoli in the boat and the wimp in the water with a rope attached to his gonads on one end and to the boat on the other.

DAMN the torpedos, Full Speed ahead Yoli 😄

I don't know who those fools (not wearing a PFD, not having killswitch attached) are, but it give you an idea of what we can do.
