I do not know if this is true but I have read that scorpions fluoresce (glow) when struck by UV light. You can buy UV flashlights cheaply on eBay.

I've heard rumors that there is a variety of Tarantula somewhere in South America which has a body 12-inches in diameter. I seriously doubt I let it crawl up and down my arm.
