Are Stories Deleted From The Archive? Where Did "SNIP" GO???
I just looked to find the story "SNIP" that was in the archives. It seems to be gone. DO they routinely pull stories from the archives? Anyone know where I can find that story again? Thanks in advace. Booboo

There are two possibilities.
One, the Author requested that it be removed. While this is very rare, it does happen. It's also a b*tch to try and do with the way the server is set up. Usually takes about a week to do that, and we don't like to do that for this very reason - someone else might want it later. Once you submit it, it's there.
Our policy is to keep stories "forever" once they are submitted, and we only attempt to remove them in extreme circumstances or if the story board auto-poster mangled it badly and it looks bad or lost something in transit.
Two, the computer ate it.
Keep in mind that the Archive has exploded, imploded, rolled over and died, or just plain failed to work at all a few times in its long history. It's also been overhauled a few times, and it's possible that the story just got 'lost' into computer la-la land. That's where things go when you click SAVE and never see it again, or things RAM go there too when the PC freezes up and you have to hit RESET.
If it doesn't come up with a title and/or author search, I'd say it's a safe bet that a disk error ate it. I don't recall a request to pull that one.

Can you give me a little more information about the story? I think it's possible that you may be mis-remembering the title. No stories have been removed from the Archive, and although I won't rule out technical problems, I can't think of a plausable technical explaination to explain a disappearance.

There is a castration femdom story called "snip" by Vickie Tern. It is from a TG site, I forget where...sorry. It's about a guy waking up in the hospital after the (tricked/forced) snip operation and gets prepared to be taken back to her secure home(no escaping) to service her male stud collection while she is away on regular business trips.
maybe this is what you're thinking ?

If you can contact Ms. Tern or have her repost the story, that is fine. If you can provide her email so that we can credit her, AND if the story is on topic for EA, I can repost it for you, OR you can post it. As long as it has a link to the originating author in the header of the story. Glad you found it.

I still maintain that n
Either it's being remembered from another website or it's mis-titled here on the Archive and not being found.

I have gone to the Internet Wayback Machine website and can verify that there's no story by that title back as far as Jan 2000.
