Does anyone have a better experience at Dr. K's than Zachary (hompty-dompty)? At least he got on British TV.

Several have had good experiences, a few have reported bad. Perception may be the issue. Of course reality could match the perception. If you get there, and you don't like what you see, walk away.

This is from my original post shortly after my castration by Dr. Kimmel:

I was asked to pre-shave my genitals the night before, including the scrotum.

After I was taken into the operating room, Dr. Kimmel asked me to undress and stand to the side of the operating table, he slapped my butt and stuck me with a needle. It surprised me, but I didn't hardly feel the needle. I think "slapping the butt," is an old way of taking away the sting of the needle. Anyway, then he had me lay down (no stirrups), took a look at what he was doing, got another needle, stuck my scrotum several times with some other numbing agent that was supposed to last 5 hours (and did). Then he turned on the cauterizing machine/scalpel. He did not give me a valuim at the time, neither did I ask for one, so I was wide awake. After a short time, he tested to see if I was numb, and when I assured him that I was, he started cutting. The smell was the worse thing that I had to endure. Cauterizing flesh smells putrid. After a few minutes I felt a painful tug in my side and flinched. He noticed and said, "Let me numb that some more for you," and he did. After that I didn't feel much of nothing. Soon he produced the remains of my small testicle and said, "This thing is not good, doesn't look cancerous, but it's a mess. I'm glad you got it out, it would probably cause you problems down the road." Then he took his time and stiched me up. He told me to lay still for several minutes, then asked me to sit up slowly. Again he made sure I was feeling o.k., then he said "Stand up." I stood up, was a little woozy and he made me sit in a chair. When I was ready, he told me to get dressed. He asked me to come into his office, which I did, and then he gave me and my wife a list of instructions to follow. Mary brought me a "goody" bag, with some pills (one valium, ibuprofen, stool softeners. Then he gave me a script for "anitbiotics" and wished me well. I follwed the instructions, "legs elevated, ice bag, ibuprofen, valium," and had a good night. So now I'm no longer "technically a eunuch," I am one actually and feel great about it. (Mary is an interesting character, she has to have seen thousands of men come in as fully functioning men, and leave eunuchs. I got the feeling talking to her, that she was surprised at why men choose to become eunuchs. Someday I'd loved to interview her, and intend on doing that. It would make a great article, probably could fill a book.

I, myself had no trouble with Dr. Kimmel or his office at all and actually liked talking with him (actually he did most of the talking and does have a soothing voice). I would recommend him myself to anyone here.

Yikes, HD and others, have to accept ur horror story accounts but at same time remain absolutely incredulous, cannot wrap my mind around concept of why a licensed urologist would need to/want to/care to perform under anything except the most professional and sterile cercumstances.

While I've often claimed here, and still do, that you become a urologist so that you can castrate, the primal reason, and have actually had some admit that to me, as they should, and that further, a man who eagerly does voluntarily castrations is eager to cut off as many balls as possible and should be enjoying that, why not, entitled to get off on it at some level...

that's got nothing to do with shave youself, and filty conditions...and this is someone who claims not only to castrate but can take the scotum off too in one procedure???
