How disturbing. You caught me by surprise. I try to avoid things like that. Although the guy looked kinda bloated and probably didn't much care for himself. But really how disturbing.

A buddy of mine brought back photos from the highway of death. He had a shoe box that contained pictures of dead Iraqi soldiers. Mangled burnt bodies mixed with twisted metal. When we bombed the retreating army it was pretty gruesome. Possibly the most horrific single act of warfare since WWII. I passed on the viewing, but heard the jeers from the crowd.

I'm sure their are gore freaks who will be assembling trade center photos soon. They always come a bit after everything has calmed down.

Anyway you probably would have really got off on those Gulf War pics.

While the castration photo is on-topic for this forum, I inferred from the caption that the guy was already dead. If he wasn't, then it's certainly implied.

Some people DO enjoy grotesque pictures. In fact, there's a whole Usenet group, alt.binaries.pictures.grotesque, dedicated to such imagery. However, posting a link to a castration picture doesn't automatically make one a gore-monger or a bad person.

As for the NYC attack on Sept. 11, there will no doubt be photos running around out there in time. Hell, it only took 2 days or so for the muggers to come back out, so I guess anything goes.

I remember this case.

It seems that the wench had her boyfriend kill her husband and he took the pictures of her naked cutting off his cock and other such stuff.

Then I think that they tried to dispose of the body by either putting it in a septic tank or cutting it up and putting it into 55 gallon drums full of muratic acid.

Then the damned fools took the film to get it developed and the film processor kept a set of the pictures and her address and called the police.

Some people really deserve to be in jail. They are just too stupid to live outside of an institution of some sort.

I agree. People do like to shock themselves and others. Perhaps this is the reasoning for collecting such photos.

Some of us just can not look at a photo without reading into it and having an emotional response. Those touched by violence, or those who lived under the threat of potential violence are susceptible to more severe emotional reactions to such material.

To each his own. A girl I dated used to like to visit "THOSE GORE SITES". Anyway, she liked the thrill. Eventually she got to see an organ harvest on a corpse. I think this was the climax of her whole gore escapade. Needless to say we are no longer together. I guess I could just not satisfy her desire for the maccabe.

There is one positive aspect of viewing gore/snuff -- it really brings home the fact that the reality of injury/death is NOT pretty.

It is easy for us here to fantasize about someone chopping off our genitals. But the reality is that it is bloody, painful, and the results will be ugly.

Sometimes people need to see the real consequences in order to understand the seriousness of something.

I was talking about the idea of someone executing another person, then taking off there clothes and posing naked, next to the corpse, while cutting off the victems genitals. Not to mention the person holding the camera. That is disturbing, think about it!

It makes this type of photo worse than the war pics. These people probably led distructive lives with drug abuse and perhaps sexual abuse. There lives were probably not worth much in any respect, except to the grace of god. So no great loss in all likelyhood.

I guess there must have been some real detachment to be able to come up with a scene like that.
