It is much more appropriate here on the Castration in the Arts, News, and Websites Board. It is a newspaper article from an Italian paper concerning two incidents of near-castration that took place only hours apart, one in Genoa and the other in Parma. My Italian is not sufficient to provide a proper translation into English. I hope that one of the members here will do so.

GENOVA - Orrore a Genova e a Parma. Protagonisti due uomini che hanno subito gravi lesioni ai genitali da parte delle loro compagne. I due episodi, distinti tra loro, sono avvenuti a distanza di poche ore l'uno dall'altro.
Domenica mattina un quarantenne si è presentato al pronto soccorso dell'ospedale Galliera di Genova, sanguinante e sotto choc, quasi privo di sensi. Gli urologi e i chirurghi che lo hanno preso in cura hanno constatato una ferita lacerocontusa ai testicoli, con il distaccamento del destro.
E' stato immediatamente operato nel tentativo di salvare almeno l'altra ghiandola, ma l'emorragia era così estesa che i medici non si sono detti ottimisti. E' stata la stessa vittima ad indicare nella sua "fidanzata" la persona che lo ha aggredito, dicendo che all'origine del folle gesto vi era un motivo passionale.
L'uomo è ora ricoverato nel reparto di Urologia dell'ospedale Galliera in prognosi riservata. La polizia genovese ha avviato un'indagine per ricostruire la dinamica dei fatti che devono ancora essere chiariti. Un sopralluogo è stato compiuto nell'appartamento nel quartiere di Castelletto, zona residenziale sulle alture della città, dove si sarebbe consumato il fatto. L'autrice dell'aggressione è stata identificata. A scatenare la sua furia, secondo i primi accertamenti, sarebbe stata la gelosia nei confronti della moglie dell'uomo.
L'altro episodio è avvenuto a Parma, dove una lite scoppiata in un ufficio pubblico tra un uomo e l'ex moglie è finita nel modo più inaspettato. Lui si è improvvisamente presentato dove lavora lei, in centro. Prima gli insulti, poi le grida e le botte, sotto gli occhi sbalorditi delle colleghe della donna. La dirigente dell'ufficio, spaventata, ha chiamato i carabinieri: forse temendo qualche denuncia i due si sono trasferiti altrove a litigare, facendo perdere le proprie tracce all'arrivo dei militari.
Ma l'uomo, poche ore dopo si è presentato al pronto soccorso della città emiliana con una vistosa ferita sanguinante all'inguine, spiegando ai medici che era tutta colpa dell'ex moglie: la donna, ha raccontato il ferito, gli ha infatti fatto credere di volersi riappacificare, appartandosi con lui. Ma nel momento di intimità è scattata la vendetta dell'ex consorte che ha morso il pene dell'uomo, procurandogli una grave ferita lacero contusa. L'ex marito, ricoverato nel reparto di Urologia, è stato operato d'urgenza. Per sua fortuna l'intervento ha avuto successo.

GENOA - Horror in Genoa and Parma. The protagonists are two men who have endured serious injuries to the genitals by the hand of their companions. The two episodes, occurring separately, happened within hours of each other. Sunday morning a forty-years old man was brought to the emergency room of the Galliera hospital of Genoa, bleeding and under duress, and very incoherent. Urologists and surgeons who are treating the patient have stated he suffered injuries to the testitcles, with the detachment of the right. The patient was immediately operated on in the attempt to save the other gland at least, but the injury was such that the doctors have not expressed optimism. The victim indicated that it was his "fiancèe" that assaulted him, saying that the reason was the book of martyrs. (note: book of martyrs may be a colloquial term)
The man is currently recovering in the Urology unit of the Galliera hospital with an undisclosed prognosis. The Genoa police have started a investigation in order to determine the facts of the case. A search has been completed in the apartment in the quarter of Castelletto, a residential zone in the heights of the city, where the evidence will be discovered. The assailant has been identified. To trigger her fury, it seems, would have been the jealousy in the comparisons of the moglie (unknown) of the man.
The other incident happened in Parma, where an argument occurred in a public office between a man and the former moglie (again, unknown) ended in a most unexpected way. The moglie, without warning, appeared where he works. They exchanged insults, then grida (unknown) and the botte (unknown), under the astounded eyes of the colleagues of the woman. The supervisor, scared, called the police officers: perhaps fearing some issue, and wanted the two moved elsewhere to argue, not noticing the arrival of the soldiers (police). But the man, shortly after he appeared at the emergency room of the emiliana city with a profusely bleeding wound to the groin, explained to the doctors who was guilty of the former moglie (unknown): the woman, had told the victim, she believed he wanted himself to reconcile, withdrawing with him. But in the intimate moment the revenge was released of former lover/mistress that she has bitten the penis of the man, producing serious tears and contusions. The former husband, is recovering in the urological unit, after having been been operated on in emergency surgery. His prognosis is good.
