I was wondering?
Does anyone know of some software you can use on a picture of yourself, to see what you might look like as a woman? Photoshop is the only thing that comes to mind, but maybe there are others that can be used easily by us less experienced users.

Macromedia Fireworks is fairly easy if you can find the book. You can get an inexpensive download of the program from http://www.oem-os.com/2243.php. I have a Windows XP Pro platform, but they have it for Mac's too. ($39 US). The company has several other suites for download, but don't expect updates on all of them. They are 'third-party' with a license in Germany. Microsoft won't support purchases from them (MSN products, that is). Adobe has updated my copy of PhotoShop I got from OEM, so I guess it's just MSN trying to acquire more income. They pass my tests for 'a good company' to do business with, i.e., support after sale, for the download. I don't know if you can get a book from them, but they do sell e-books for PhotoShop http://www.oem-os.com/ebooks.php
I have a lot of fun 'nullifying photos'. I also have Adobe PhotoShop 2003, Print Shop Pro, as well as SmartDraw 2007, but use Fireworks MX 2004 the most. Even without the book, it isn't too hard to figure out 'what's what' with the buttons / symbols (if you've had any exposure to photo-studio software).
You can ask me for help if you'd like. I'll crop your pix for you too if you don't find a program you like. artisticlicense "at" windstream "dot" net, just be nice and no junk mail.

The top of the line is Adobe Photoshop, and there are many, many books and tutorials out on the program.
Adobe Fireworks although it is limited in abilities
GIMP is totally free but not as good as Photoshop (in my opinion)
Then there are programs like CorelDraw, and PDPro or Dogwaffle....personally i like Dogwaffle it has a few features that photoshop lacks and is a good complement to Photoshop.
There are a whole host of other programs that are cheap (cheap next to Photosohop) that can be purchased like Photoshop Elements

There is also GIMPShop, which I liked better than regular GIMP.
