How to delete Debug

Post by Charis (imported) »

I recently tried to download a program that would not run on my PC. As a result Windows ran Debug and created a text file "TVdebug" with a notebook icon. The file keeps growing but I can not delete it even when logged in as Administrator. I just get a message that deleting the file would be a sharing violation because other programs are using the file. Any one know the solution to my problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tried re-booting the system, and then deleting it? If so, then you could try booting into Safe-Mode and deleting it from there.

Also are you running anti-virus? Make sure whatever you downloaded wasn't infected with something.

Good Luck!

Just format and reinstall Microbuck$ windoze. What you also could do is get a ubuntu live cd boot from cdrom find the file on you windoze disk and delete it.

and use a virus protection when using windoze

Good luck Eef

TVDebug is created by Zone Alarm, according to what I've read.

Disconnect from the net, physically if need be, and then delete the file.

As I understand it, you can't delete it if Zone Alarm is running.

Thanks, turning off the Zone Alarm firewall software allowed me to delete the file. Have a great day.
