It works fine. My doctor prescribed it to get my erections going again after my treatment for the prolactinoma was started. But, if your partner is a woman, unless she really kinky, and really into sex with you no matter what, DON'T LET HER SEE YOU USING IT! Fumble the thing in front of her once and she will laugh hysterically and the sight of a MUSE applicator will destroy her mood, every time, from that point on.:-\

I'm probably not following whats going on because it sounds like your trying to lower your natal testosterone and want healthy testosterone levels from the gel? Err? Whats that about?

Anyway, at least for me sex drive and mental focus were things that took a long time to come back. Don't be upset if weeks or even months go by and your still not feeling normal. And once you do there is some readjustment to do to get used to all cylinders firing.

To explain it in another way (in a nutshell version) throughout my many years I had way more T than I wanted or needed; even into my older years this had been the case and I got damn tired of it and finally out of long term desperation took things into my own hands (so to speak) .

I figured (correctly or not) the only way to get a T level that worked for me was to eliminate the T (to the maximum extent possible) if possible, without chem or surgical castration, and then use T supplements to bring the T back up to a minimal level for optimum mental and physical well being (to avoid depression, thoughts of suicide, osteporosis, etc.). If this shrinks my balls to the size of a garbonzo bean, then perhaps physical castration won't be necessary, for me. If it seems screwy, well, what can I say. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

How I finally got my T levels low is an entirely different story that I would share on a 1-1 basis, but I feel should not be posted openly because, even though it worked for me, it was a painful and scary at times process and it is undoubtedly an unsafe technique for anyone else to try and I just lucked out, and someone else might not get the same successful results that I got.

I use it. It works ok. Re the post about never letting your SO see you insert it. Huh? My DW doesn't crack up laughing when I do it. Maybe because she is so relieved that it works?

I would say a few things about it.

#1 Do urinate before inserting Muse. It spreads it around so you don't feel any burning sensation.

#2 Put a "tiny" dab of surgilube on the tip of the applicator to help ease it into the urethara. Scratching it REALLY hurts...

#3 I push the Muse in almost all the way then slowly pull it out a tiny bit as I press the button to release the drug. This avoids me pressing the drug THROUGH the urethera... Ouch mega multi Ouch!

#4 Stay upright so the blood can flow to your penis.

Consider using an Actis Band at the base of your penis. If you have testicles (or implants) the proper place is behind them (On the pubic hair side) you can cinch this tight before the Muse is inserted. Blood seems to get IN either way its keeping it there thats the problem.

If it doesn't work with all that ask for (insist) on a dose increase. I need 1000s for it to work long enough. The low dose ones may well work for some people?

We also need to put into consideration some guys have a Thyroid problem and this is the reason testosterone gels may not adequatley be absorbed.

I have continued on the gels.

My Physician who is quite enclined on the male andorogen production says that a male can make between 5-15 mg of testosterone a day naturally.

Apparantley mine was at the higher level.

I still however wonder sometimes if the Gels are still working, due to my last blood test comming out in the 3000 ng/dl range as I run the gel on my forearms I have be be retested, as some of the gel apparantley got on the draw site.

Hopefully everything works out well.

Also HCG in some cases can be used as an HRT and will keep the testicles from further atrophy, depending if you still have them or not and how functional they are.

Also if gels work for you I understand they replicate your normal youthful levels better than injections, however if the gels do not work then injections should really be used weekly to keep you away from the rollar coaster side effects of the up's and downs.

Typicially 100 MG a week of Depo Testosterone/Or its generic is most normal to be used in HRT.

My Personal opinion no medical advise intended.

Yep. I had a insane high reading when they drew blood from where some of the Androgel was rubbed in. My doctor just did a retest.

Great on being open to the idea of Testicular Implants vrs the scrotum removal. I know a lot of guys would just as soon never have any reminder of them but trust me they won't put anything in that can have the potential to give you that "hit in the nuts" feeling. And while some people post about them feeling "alien" I really like my pair. They feel like me... And yeah, its probably stupid male ego to be worked up about your "pair" but.... It sure made it easier for me to have the old ones removed knowing I would have an adult sized pair to replace them. Mine were not quite "beans" but pretty close and on the way to exactly what you describe.

HCG. I talked to my Doctor. Her take then was that this is not a drug tested for long term use. There was some serious thinking that it would damage the part of the brain that regulates all hormones which frankly scares the hell out of me. Replacing Testosterone is enough work. Doing ALL the others?

The pair I have do not feel in the least bit normal or natural. One actually is causing pain, and will have to be removed - too much damage in the scrotum for it to nest right. Ultimately, the 2nd will probably come out too. They feel like hard little footballs, and are pointy like them too. Oh well, maybe I shouldn't have let them put them in in the first place.

Sister K. What type (Brand?) did you get? I went though a lot of effort to research what was out there. The (mentor/Coloplast) water filled ones, the semi solid ones (AART, Silimed), the Silicone Gel filled ones (Not available still) and of course the sizes... I was really annoyed with the water filled ones as they seemed to come on only small, smaller and smallest sizes. The type I got was a semi solid and they "squish" about right. Maybe a tad firmer then natal ones but mine were a squished up mess when they came out so.....

If you want a better "pair" you know my number... I'll get you in touch with this nice lady who can sell you a beautiful pair of balls. Hardly ever used except by this little old lady that drove them to church...
