I wonder how many of us are obsessed or near obsessed with masturbation. On a slow day I jerk off twice. How many times a day was everyone else jerking off before their castration. How about afterwards. And how many of times a day for those that just fantasize about it?

If you are not masturbating so much that it keeps you from getting anything else done, or doing it in inappropriate places, forget about it! Once or twice a day is no big deal unless you are trying to save up a full load to get your wife pregnant. That only takes 48 hours. If you are masturbating so many times a day that you are missing appointments and not getting your work done, then you have a problem. (Not to mention a sore dick.)

There seems to be a body of evidence coming out that if a man does not have sex or masturbate enough, especially in his twenties, he is setting himself up for prostate problems in later life. Apparently, men who start earlier and masturbate and have intercourse frequently have longer sex lives. Besides, there have been repeated, published studies that seem to indicate that you must have at least three orgasms a week to keep your immune system is top shape. It really is a case of "use it or loose it".

Remember, babies have always been expensive, that's why it has been estimated that 80% of the sex going on in the world at any one time, even with a partner, is some form of masturbation.

If it's not getting in the way of getting on with your life, it's not a problem.

No one particularly worried about masturbation until Victorian times. Put yourself in the position of a Protestant minister of Catholic priest in those days. The mere act of masturbation is not an issue for most people. I find no moral delimma at all with the issue. It's a wasted time issue due to the other things that go along with masturbation like, porn, erotic stories, adult video arcades and so on. Also, masturbation is just not as fulflling as sex. You just feel the need to get off again in a short while.

I personally have no moral issues with masturbation. It is an open subject, and 4 out of the 5 boys here have all been educated about it as a normal, healthy function that just comes with the territory of being a teenage boy with functional genitals. In fact, one hilarious conversation I had with GS2 (16) involved his fiasco in using the "blue gel" for lubricant. Unfortunately, it's full of xylocaine and menthol, for sunburn relief! He was NOT pleased with the results, after neglecting to read the label. I informed him to stick to gentle soaps in the tub, or baby oil in his room.

For me, I much prefer a round with B.O.B. (battery operated boyfriend), rather than have to get worked up to maintain an erection for long enough to climax with. The bit of neuropathy there from diabetes doesn't help either, but every now and thing, things do get to working a few times a month. If I wake up with an erection, I do try and make some use of it before it changes its mind!

For me, I have a VERY high sex drive. I tend to get off about four times a day at least. If I don't get off before heading to school I tend not to be as focused. Well, at least it sounds like I won't have to worry about prostate problems!
