Castration by Dr. McGinn

Post by Hash (imported) »

I sent this message to the Papillon Center in Pennsylvania:

I wanted to know if Dr. Mcginn does castration surgery for patients who might not be quite ready for full transsexual surgery. Thankyou!

She replied: Yes,

I feel it is a good option for someone who has been diagnosed with Gender Identity Disorder by a qualified professional and would be ready for full surgery, but has extenuating circumstances. These circumstances include financial, health, work, or family issues that are postponing the full vaginoplasty for at least 3 years. If you think it will be three or more years until you have surgery, orchiectomy is safer, and less expensive than continuing on high dose estrogen/t-blockers. The cost is $3900 for everything and is an outpatinet surgery that I perform in the hospital. If you wish to pursue this avenue, please call the office for an initial consultation.

Sincerely,

Christine McGinn , D.O.

NOTE: I also talked with Dr. McGinn personally and learned that she's not willing to do castrations unless a person is actually transgendered. That's why she requires a diagnosis of Gender Identity Disorder from a qualified professional.

I checked out her website at http://www.drchristinemcginn.com/ and under the doctor info it says about her own transition in 2000, so she is transgendered herself? She is very beautiful, is why i asked. I think i might talk to her. Is She a very understanding person?

Gee, what hope is there for the eunuch community when even a person that has BIID won't help others that have BIID unless they fully transition to female?

*ugh* We can't even get a transgendered doctor to take us seriously.
