Hello
I have been using Androcur on and off and have every time been very satisfied. The only thing is that I was usually getting tired. The other thing was that if I was travelling (and I have to very often) I was not able to take the does I should have (which was 2 x 25mg per day).
On the web I have now found that there is Viadur (leuprolide-acetate) which can hold it for 12 months and also Zoladex (Goserlin) which will do the job for 3 months. Both are implants. Has any one got experience with these and may be some tips on how and where to get them.
All the best Nacho

Re: Implants
Getting more tired is one of the most common effects of reduced testosterone. That will become part of your everyday life. You have to just get use to that. Every one is different on how much androcur they need to reach the castration level. Most seem to take 100mg of androcur a day. More mature guys seem to be able to take the lower dose of 50 to 75mg a day. While younger need 100mg or more. The only way to really know if your dose is the correct amount is to have a blood test and see just what your testosterone levels are. At 50mg you may only reducing your hormone level and not even be close to castration levels. In that case when you reduce your hormone level more you will experience far greater loss of energy when at castration levels.
As far as the implants go I would consult a doctor before going that route.

Re: Implants
Even at 25mg (half a pill) per day I was getting tired.
Now I'm not on it at all but 2mg of Estrofem per day and I'm STILL getting tired...
I'm 43 though, maybe I'm slowing down.
I can also say my vasectomy 6 years ago had a d rastic effect, and have read where lower T levels can happen with a vasectomy...
I used to go go go 18 hrs a day, now I'm good for 10-12.

Re: Implants
Hello All
Thanks for your comment. What I am most interested is if someone has some experience, tips or links about Implants such as Zoladex. I would like to know if the side effects are similar to those of Androcur or if there is a difference. I find it also very interesting having only one Implant per 3 Months.
All the best
