bearhunter- Two months is far too short a time to form any opinions about the effects of chemical (or surgical) castration. There are some effects that take longer than that to develop and I am sure that your feelings about some of the effects will need more time to come to full force. --FLO--

Hey Kennath7,

Two months won't tell you much. If you take eoungh anti androgen to effect any change in that time you'll probable not feel very good. You need to ramp up. I'm on spironolactone and my doc started me on 25mgs for 3 weeks and 50mgs for 4 weeks and then to 100mgs a day.

That's my 2 cents.

How much swelling did you have?Do you like your *new look-How much of the scrotum did you have removed?Dr.Kimmel told me he could only remove 75%,I thought maybe 50%-60% reduction would be ok for me.Did you get my E-mail.Hope this brings you wellness friend.I havent set a date just yet, thought I'd try chemical castration for 2 months just to see if I like what I feel happening to me physically and mentally.Stay in-touch here please.

Thanks Uncle Flo and gpb3aol for your response, greatly appreciated.Ive tried to read up on chemical castration,it seems that changes happen to each individual differently.I was triing to put some sense of order to it, as to what I could expect.I must seem nuts, thats probly my problem....I still have them lol. What can a person expect as far as ,1 week into it ,or 3 weeks, or 3 months or 10 months?I feel like one might only be able to answer these questions by going forward.Sorry Kennath7...I dont mean to step on your thread.

I agree, everyone is different. But, I'm pretty sure one week or three weeks of chemical castration aren't going to be much of an indicator of what's it's like to be castrated without hormones. Three months, maybe, ten, probably.

If you just want to get rid of the little buggers and want to keep all the "benifits" then it doesn't really matter because you'll not going to expirence any change if your on T for the rest of your life. But if you want to experience the full effects (no hormones) of beening free of T, then you need to take this test drive.

Hope that helps.

Hi Kenneth7,

Me again. Am getting ready to contact Dr. Kimmel for an April appointment.

How's the healing going? Have you been able to resume doing things or are things still petty sore?

Also, I understand that Dr. Kimmel wants a $750 cash/money order deposit at the time of scheduling. What about the rest of the payment -- cash, check, credit card? Does he still charge $3,200 for Orchi and Scrotum Reduction?

This will give me a little heads up info before I call.

Thanks,

Ubandme

Sorry to post again but just so that everyone knows -- I've been on Siterone 150 mg for two years and am very happy with the results. This was a 'test run' prior to proceeding with actual castration. While I have had no bad side effects (liver, etc.) I do feel it is time to leave the drugs behind.

dr. kimmel will tell you everything when you call him

but to answer your question

if you are just getting the nuts removed you need a money order for 750.00

and the rest in money order upon compleation

if your having your scrotom removed when you have nuts removed then you need a money order for 1000.00 deposit and a money order for 2500.00 upon compleation

The last week has been strange I have noticed that I have been getting pimples I have not had those since I was 22 and 1 nocturnal erection which I have not had since 3aug 07

How is that possible I am not on any hrt I have only been taking multi vitamins and 2000 calcium and 1000 vitamin d I know none of those have any form of t in them

So far I have not had any depression or regrets I have been staying away from beer and any other form of alcohols since they are a known form of depressant cause I do not want to start or compound any problems I know 2 months is too soon to know what else awaits

Me as far as the effects of castration I know of the possibilities but which ones and to what extent is the mystery that makes kind of fun and exciting I am so glade I finely

Went to dr. kimmel it was the best decision I have made as far as fulfilling my desire to be an eunuch
