This is not something for the faint of heart to read. As the Author indicates, and I have read elsewhere before (now that I'm reminded) it is a real problem designed to inform. Beware. To Pueros goes the award of making me hurl ... hehe. Sorry, had to say that.
Also, the Author's comments are:
Muti murders are a fact of life in South Africa & the young torso in the Thames is true, prompting a lengthy article in yesterday's London 'The Times' (p3). The Muti facts that I quote come directly from that renowned newspaper.
Muti murders seem to be spreading worldwide. Another young torso has recently been found on a beach in the Netherlands. How long before such ritualistic horrors arrive in the USA, if they already haven't?
I write the item not to titillate but to warn & inform.
Please use the above comments as you see fit.

Re: Muti (Mutilation Murders) by Pueros
Yesterday's London 'Times' also suggested that such ritualistic murders were becoming regular amongst some African communities in Europe, with certain families happy to provide their own youngsters for the purpose. The (London) Metropolitan Police believe that the reason that they have so far been unable to identify the torso found in the Thames is because of mutual conspiracy amongst the boy's own family!
Whenever I write about any horrors inflicted on boys, about whom I write most because I love them, it is invariably based on fact.
I find postings such as 'Aztecs' and 'Muti' very difficult to compose. I can't re-read the former because of the way that I killed off one of the main young characters. However, the stories are based on truth & are genuinely meant ultimately to inform & remind people how cruelly misdirected some of humankind can be, even now! Don't forget that the Aztecs, & now the practitioners of Muti, perversely fully believed in the rightness of what they did or are doing!

Re: Muti (Mutilation Murders) by Pueros
My first reaction to reading this story was to cry long and loud that it is not appropriate for this board or any other! But then I read the reviews by Paolo and the author himself.
Pueros, you have created true masterpieces in "The Aztecs" and "The Lycian Prince," but I found myself somewhat traumatized with the realization that these stories were based on fact. When I think about it, I suspect the reality is far worse than the story you have presented.
Muti, to restate what the author has already said in another way, is a wakeup call. We, the free people of the world, in the USA, England, Canada and many other countries, pride ourselves on all the freedoms we enjoy every day: Freedom of speech, or choice, of religion... But isn't there a point at which we should say "ENOUGH?" After Sept. 11, after the discovery of a dismembered body of a child in the Thames, after America, the greatest and most giving nation in the history of the world is criticized because captured terrorists are not sitting in the lap of luxury, watching TV and being waited on hand and foot... After our children, literally hundreds of them, go missing and are never heard from again, isn't it time we re-evaluate our stand?
Sorry folks, I guess I get a little emotional when it comes to abusing children, who after all are our future, our immortality. I personally have three grown children, all of whom are (I thank God every day) are happy, productive, and have their heads screwed on right. I also have three grandchildren who are off to a good start, but they need so much more protection than I ever did! We have to be so watchful, and in so many places! Even the public schools today need to be constantly monitored!
Pueros, THANK YOU for this story, and for your comments. This is one reader who has received the message loud and clear.
YOU BETTER NOT MESS WITH MY CHILDREN, OR MY GRANDCHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Muti (Mutilation Murders) by Pueros
I`m deeply moved by this case.
Until now I never heard of such ritual murders.
But it is the same as with the removal of the outer sexual organs of young female children from islamic background in Africa and the Middle East.
(I don`t know the correct English expression, I hope you know what I`m talking of)
Waris Dirie, a model, has written a book about her own horrible experiences.
Those "operations" are made in Europa and in the USA also, performed sometimes by real doctors, sometimes by "wise women", out of religious beliefs of the childs parents (keep the virginity, make the girl a faithful wife, etc.).
There are great efforts from some people as well as from the UN to stop this disgusting and life-destroying procedure.
But nevertheless, the number of mutilated girls is increasing every day.
Some of them are as young as three or four years, brought by their own mothers to be operated because they would never get a husband with their clitoris and labia still existing ...
The human mind is capable of thinking and doing really every horrible thought anyone of us imagined - and even more.
