My hormones were coming back

I guess this post is about my changing status. As some of you know, I started down this road of life without testosterone, due to the effects of chemotherapy poisoning.

About a month ago I started get weak morning erection once in awhile. They started to get more and more often and stronger. I also lost my hot flashes. But, the most important issue for me is I started thinking and acting on sexual desires. I have a problem on T thinking about sex 24/7.

Anyhow I made an appointment with a semi local TG M.D. She is just the best doctor I've ever had. She immediately put me on Spiro. I've only been on it for 4 days, not long enough to be doing anything but, no erection this morning, I know all in my head.

Anyhow, my status has changed from castrated without consent to castration by choice. I don't feel any different, it really doesn't change anything but just wanted everyone to know the facts.

Yes the effects of castration either chemical or the real thing can and does effect the person very much. Each will get the effects a little different in their own way. It is always great when a person has the benefit of having a understand doctor that helps in the quest of life with out testosterone. Hope you can return to the status that made you happy fast. It took 3 days (about) for me to start feeling the effects of hormone replacement so maybe that drug does work that fast? I don't think you can will yourself to no have nocturnal or morning erections. Or ahhh?? am I wrong?

morning erections have all but stopped for me, not really because i wanted them to. by all means when bringing myself into a sexual mood they do return, but i sleep better now without em'!

i think the finasteride i am on is the reason. but even before i went on that they became few and far between. ejaculating on the other hand is a whole different issue..........

Mine come and go (nothing to do with Hormones in this case)

I do agree I sleep better without them. One the rare occasions they come back (Or if I've been using an ed drug) I wake up when it does.

No not really, a little story, I was at low T levels for sometime and then was put on Androgel because my wife and oncologist thought I was depressed. I wasn't just emotional. Big difference.

I took the Androgel for about 3 weeks and realize the old T driven "pick" was back. I stopped taking it and in about 3 weeks reverted back to the somewhat emotional, caring, loving etc person I was without T in my blood.

Now I'm really happy because I know soon very soon I'll be even more the real me without all that T screwing me up.

Thank goodness, I've not been able or wanted to ejaculate since before May 2007.

i want to ejaculate more, i think its healthy for the body. i just dont think about it very often so it rarely happens~

It actually is healthy to ejaculate. I read a report a while back that men who masterbated frequently in their youth were less likely to get prostate cancer. (I should be good in this regard ) Of course this doesn't mean that it doesn't happen, but the percentages are lower. If I remember correctly it is believed masturbation cleans out the prostate. Has anyone else heared of this?
