For those unfamiliar with the place, Pahrump is something of a Gertrude Stein town--there is no there there. It has been described as the largest trailer park in the world. The population is supposed to be almost 40,000, but downtown is about two blocks of commercial buildings on each side of the main intersection, and the main industry of the place appears to be, selling vacant lots.

As somebody else noted, prostitution is legal there, and the topless house is actually a totally house.

The Saddle West does have a pretty good Hawaiian buffet on Monday nights, for under ten dollars. The winery there, the only one in Nevada, sells passable wine.

It was a dark and stormy night and the rented dick was wearing a raincoat! Next to him, a GInger-boy Brit was eating spotted dick from the local roadhouse.

A guy from there went thru some safety training with me. He doesn't do drugs and was happy to get out. There recently was a story about putting a facility there that would require such things as background checks, drug testing and an eduction. The prognosis was not good for a lot of local employment.

All in all, my kind of place.
