I'm Back

Post by BudleyBare (imported) »

Hi all. It has been a long time since I checked in here, but just received an email from Riverwind, and decided to reconnect with my friends and extended family. I visited with many of you at the MoM last August. That trip was the first leg of many that was the beginning of a 2.5+ month trip literally around the world. I returned home here in Central America in November and faced some medical challenges, which have now been successfully overcome.

When logging in just now (my previous login was last August!), I found a bit more than 500 new topic threads, and so decided just to shine them off. Hopefully I won't have missed something of real significance, but if so, maybe someone can summarize the highlights for me.

I'm beginning now to download, organize, and edit the 30GB+ of pictures that I took on my world travels. Given the rate of progress that will likely take a couple of months.

I am also planning for my next trip for later this year, which will include Greece, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Croatia, Italy, Africa, and also roaming up and down the Amazon River. Travel and cruising are definitely in my blood, and so I plan to do as much as I can, while I can (both health-wise and financially).

I will close by saying that I really have missed the frequent dialogs here. For those who have not had the opportunity to meet many of this group (such as I did last August at the largest MoM meeting to date), you will find them all to be really interesting and supportive. Granted we all have varying interests and perspectives, but I have missed my extended family. I'm back now.

With love,

Bud

P.S., thanks to Riverwind for the inquiry that got me off my duff.

I did not see Minneapolis on your future travel plans. I would love to see you again. By the way we are hoping for warmer weather. Welcome back.
