WAP Compatibility

I know I received an email about this very shortly after the new main page went up, but I've been thinking more and more about this recently.

Just how much of a demand is there for the EA to be WAP-compatible? I can probably pull of enough to get the main page, stories, and a slim possibility of the message board here. But, I'm wondering how much demand there is for people to be able to browse the Eunuch Archive on their cell phones, etc?

There are a few who have expressed a desire, but very few that I am aware of. I would think receptiveness to the idea would be fine as long as there is adequate demand to justify it. I suppose with more and more folks going that way (way to F-ing small for my eyes) I suppose the future will need it.... So who knows...?

Sounds like entirely too much hassle for what it's worth.

Maybe I have never seen really low-end mobile phones, but most of them are able to read plain html pages nowadays.

And if java applications are supported - there is always opera mini.

PS. Maybe I spend too much time with techno-fetishistic friends.

PPS. I have read The Archive from phone, using opera mini. Worked as is.
