One more time! Why was I deleted? What is the Problem? Why can't I log in?

After reading the initial post of this old thread, I am also inclined to add the following:

If you are new and come in here posting about wanting to cut yourself, or someone else, and asking how-to, that's going to have be an instant boot as well.

No more of this "Just do it behind the bushes right outside the ER doors." Nope. Personally, I'm fed up with it and tired of playing the troll game.

I had been a member for a number of years and my account just stopped working one day.

Tried the password recovery several times and it never worked.

Also tried to re-register several times and that never worked either.

FYI, I've seen several people on FL with the same story.

If you fail to log in to the Archive (not just the story board) for a year, on day 366 you are deleted as inactive.

Once deleted, password recovery will not work. Re-registration is required.

As for trying to register several times unsuccessfully, have you been loading up banned sites in your profile? Have you been advocating forced operations? Are you promoting yourself as a cutter, or someone who can assist as such? Is your sign up name a collection of nonsense letters, or a string of numbers?

I delete registrations such as those. Use some common sense in what you post, answer the questions asked - they are minimal.

So, I went through the registration process and it seems it was successful - thanks.

But now when I log in, I can only see 14 of the forums? I had ro log out in order to see and post to this forum...

I had better access as an unregistered visitor. I could see 28 forums and post here.

It's Ok now.

I received an email from the system saying I was "activated". But that only gave me the reduced access.

Couple of hours later, I received another email saying I was "validated". All Ok after that

I'm a technosaur from the southern hemisphere. This forum has been so good. The moderators do an amazing and a hugely important job! I take my hat off to their vigilance! I got 'fished' early in my membership to the forum. Some of us took alot of time, energy and an emotional hit from that. Its such a priviledge to be here. So Chill, just contribute. All the best

Hey catoboros, some clown wasted our time and emotions with a ficticious story. I and other contributors took considerable efforts to help. The moderators, with their experience and wisdom saw through the scam and shut it down. On the upside I learnt alot. I would rather be scammed than ignore a person who is in genuine need. It was a hard lesson for me to realise that idiots out there spend so much time and effort to fuk with others heads. All praise to the moderators, they do an incredible job
