Re: Midwest Meeting of Members MOM
While here, I thought I would explain further why I will not be attending this year's MoM.
I had previously mentioned that I also would not be able to attend this years big MoM in Minneapolis (perhaps MoMiM?), and the reason being family matters. May and June so far have been very bad months. I just attended a memorial service last Saturday for my neighbor (35 years old). He was medevac'ed to Seattle on January 2 of this year, and died of an extremely rare blood infection after about 6 months in intensive care. Further, I will be attending another memorial service this coming Wednesday for a very dear and close friend. She died unexpectedly at home last Wednesday afternoon. I still have waves of tears coming over me on that one. And I soon will be in Texas so that I can visit with my only uncle, who is terminally ill with bone cancer. These are the reasons I will not be in Minneapolis in early August.
I just know this year's MoM will be a bigger and better event than last year. I truly would rather be at the MoM instead of doing what I am doing.

Re: Midwest Meeting of Members MOM
Great timing. I'll have been out of surgery for about a week and probably not able to fly. The first opportunity to show what I've not got called by a delayed departure. Next year....

Re: Midwest Meeting of Members MOM
To all attending the MOM check your E-Mail for an update letter. If you did not get one contact me at the archive.
Hard to believe that in 6 weeks today the 2008 Midwest MOM will be history. Most will have said their good bye's and given the hugs that will have to last till nest year. With all the rain the Midwest has been getting, I would hope that their will be none left in the sky for the MOM.
It is not too late to sign up to attend but, the dead line is approaching fast.

Due to my residence and schedule I am unable to attend this, though I wish I could. I wish you all the best of fun and hopefully I can join you next year.

Not too sure how finances are going to go or how my job search will pan out with the state of the economy right now. The reason for my job going overseas was mostly made because of the state of the economy...
I highly doubt I'll be attending this years MoM. I'm sorry.![]()
I, too, am sorry to hear about your job loss, Incuse. I was laid off at the age of 32 in a fairly bad economy. Your are in my thoughts and I hope you find another job soon.
Best wishes

BudleyBare I am sorry for all the sadness in your life right now. Losing friends and family is one of the hardest things we experience in life. I will miss you at the MoM but others need you more. I hope to see you again at a future event.

I was hoping to see you again but I understand. I am still hoping all works out for you and you will be able to attend. Of course there will always be photo's and you did a great job with them last year, thanks. Good luck on the job search and remember we are all available as references. Some of our avatars though might need some explaining.

Priorities, my friends priorities. Is it beer, or is it a trip to meet the people you socialize with each day year around on the internet, "Eunuch Archive"?

Re: Midwest Meeting of Members MOM
The MoM is now down to just 4 weeks away. I really wished that more of you would sign up to come. No, there is not any proceedures done. Instead just good chatting, good eating, fun times and most of all the opportunity to be accepted by your peers. Please try to find ways to come and participate.
