MOC,
I just want to add my agreement to what some others have said. This is a great group of people who are respectful of and care about each other.

We opted to go earlier this year. The last two weeks of the month we'll have shit loads of cops and secret service agents combing everything prior to the GOP convention being held here Sept 1-4. And the state fair will be going for the ten days prior to Labor Day, when it ends. The period will be insane; ergo, a week or so earlier was the choice. And try getting a hotel or motel room within 50 miles of the TC during that time. No way! So, Save early, save often. Despite my protestations about spending tax rebates, this might be a good one to spend on!

Good plan.
Sorry for asking, but what's the TC?

Twin Cities - Minneapolis and St Paul Minnesota. And the fact that they sit next to each other is the only thing that makes them twins. In many respects they a very different, and both are very interesting cities. Hope you can make it.

Well, I can say, it is like a Family get together. A family reunion. It was so much fun and takes your mind off the "not so good things" happening in your life. Well it did for me.
I've met most of these people here at least 3 times now. They are wonderful and I love them as my family. I hope to be there also, and look forward to it.
love and hugs, Lilac

Been talking to Gawd, but dunno if dammit is in his or her language. But we'll see what we can rustle up. It is usually a fairly dry, warm, and sunny time of year. Course, no guarantees - the grass needs a drink now and then...
