Also, a friend of mine recommends a herbal supplement called Umcka. It is from an African plant. He told me that it took care of his cold in a few days. Not sure myself if it works or not, but you can find it in Vitamin stores.

I've found that a herb called Cat's Claw is effective against allergies; and since I've started using it, I've had few colds.

Just, by the way, I was researching Cat's Claw a few months ago, and apparently:

"Long term use can produce a dramatic drop in the body’s levels of estrogen and progesterone. In one study, it was found to prevent estrogen from binding to the estrogen receptors on breast cancer cells."

Matouk's hot sauce from Trinidad & Tobago is about the best stuff for colds. And exactly what you consume it with doesn't completely matter. If you order a pizza for delivery (but NOT Domino's) with all the veggies plus chicken and then splatter it with Matouk's hot sauce it should cure whatever ails you. But if you feel well enough it might be better to just go out to your local catacombs and receive the holy sacraments under both species, --that is hot wings and healthy cider or else some other type of ale for your ailments. Hot sauce contains capsicum and other natural ingredients that your body needs such as iodine, vitamins A or C (if not homogenized) plus certain invigorating agents such as hot mustard, ginger, horseradish... Whoowie. The combinations are limitless. If you do get Domino's it has ineffective hot wing sauce that however can be doctored up if you know how to mix in some of the above ingredients and then let it set for a couple of days. (Not worth it.)
