Tom Green's cancer surgery

Post by Lovey (imported) »

Several months ago, I was clicking through all the tv channels and came across some surgery. To my surprise, it was on MTV and it involved "comedian" Tom Green. (Which I find the guy highly annoying.) Apparently, the guy had testicular cancer and he was showing his surgery to EVERYONE. (And that takes balls, imho.)

Anyway, I didn't watch (and stomach) the whole show, but caught the near end when the surgeon had the chopped up testicles displayed on some paper towels (which, to me, looks like chicken).

I guess it is fair to assume that Tom Green is now an eunuch!

He's not a eunuch, he's only missing the one. He was diagnoses with testicular cancer, and had to have the malignant testicle removed. The other one, as far as I know, is okay.

He took a lot of shit for airing that surgery, but he felt that it was an important message to send to his fans, which tend to be younger men and older boys, that young people can have advance testicular cancer.

I'm not a big fan of his comedy either, but having seen him interview on this subject a time or two, I came to respect him as a person. I didn't expect that, but he really has risen to a scary and difficult challenge by responding with public education. Way to go, Tom.

You better believe it.

The worst thing that I can remember was watching a friend from grade school die of testicular cancer in his early 20's

He died as a result of metastatic disease in the lungs, as it usually spreads by the bloodstream.

Loose cells are pumped up the venacava to the heart and then into the lungs. If you ever have the misfotune to see a man in his 20's die gasping for air you will know what I mean.

Yeah to for those who still have balls, remember to inspect them twice a month...after 35 testicle

cancer goes down. Know a Navy buddy who had one

nut removed, he had a fake one implanted. He

feels like like a real man now!
