Thank you for finding all of these Youtube videos and posting the links. While I already own a DVD of the entire program, the last one on your list is always a joy to see and hear four beautiful voices clearly demonstrating vocal differences in a memorable fashion
Jennifer Johnston a female soprano
Joey Howard a boy treble (though not one of the better ones)
Nicholas Clapton counter-tenor (who curated the exhibition on castrati at the Handel House Museum in London on which this show is based)
Michael Maniaci a male soprano
While Maniaci is not, by all accounts, a castrato, a developmental problem in puberty left him with a voice that is as close to a true, musically trained, castrato as we are likely to ever hear (unless the rumors about a couple of other male sopranos are true). His musical training gives us a hint as to what the finest castrati must have sounded like. I can only imagine the Vatican Choir when it contained a dozen voices like his .
