Bloodless castration results after 3 months
I still have my balls, but they definitely have lost function after I clamped off the cords three months ago.
Hot flashes have started to subside somewhat, but do happen without warning. Prostate seems to have shrunk since I can pee better (Hurrah!). Also prostatic fluid output is much deminished.
Penis still seems to be the same size as before when erect. Erections are possible but don't happen as easily. Nocturnal erections seem to be absent now.
Testicles shrank dramatically the first few weeks. They seem to be holding at their reduced size now.
Penetrative sex with my wife is mentally stimulating, but bodily sensations are somewhat lacking (kind of like using a strap-on). Sometimes I cum and sometimes I don't.
Pornography still titillates me, but less interest than before.
All in all, results are exactly what I expected.

Thanks for the update, I was waiting to see what your long term results would be after your first posting. Please provide more details about the inexpensive clamp you found and exactly how you located the proper placement. I understand you believe this was possible because you had a previous visectomy? How long ago? Thanks in advance for any detailed information you can supply.

Clamp is plastic jawed device used for holding veneer in place for gluing. Found in most hardware stares - it is about 6-inches long and costs about $6 US. Mine had a sliding locking mechanism, but I didn't really need it since you only had to keep firm pressure for about 1 minute. The blood vessels in the cords squash very easily without the vas deferens in the way. A fully healed vasectomy is a prerequisite. I waited for over 30 years before trying the clamp (wish I had thought of it sooner).

Thank you for the additional information. The part I still do not understand is: if you crushed the blood vessel supplying the testicle, why wasn't there internal bleeding and resulting swelling in your scrotum. I am very interested in duplicating your procedure but do not desire a scrotum as big as a softball and a trip to the ER. Sorry about all the additional questions, hope you understand. Thanks again for sharing with all who are interested.

It sounds like clamping the scrotum, like with banding, which causes gangrene.Charis (imported) wrote: Sun Nov 25, 2007 9:21 am Thank you for the additional information. Each cord was clamped separately with a 1/2 inch square flat clamp for one minute. The blood vessels were crushed and flattened, and remained so afterwards. There was no swelling or discoloration. I did have some mild groin pain for several weeks afterwards. Testicles began shrinking almost immediately and feel cold to the touch.
Do not clamp or band the entire scrotum!
Please bear in mind that this worked for me. No guarantees are expressed or implied. Your mileage may vary. Void if prohibited by law.

Real glad that this worked for you and you are happy with the results. Has your wife been supportive and how did you break the news to her of your planned self castration? I am intested since I am in the same situation as you were and can benefit from your experience. Thanks

My wife has been supportive to some degree -- she did wonder if I really should go through with it.... Before my castration, both of us had a strong sex drive that lead to some legal problems in the past. So she understood my reasons for wanting to diminish my sex drive.

Hey Kangan,
Thanks for getting back to me.
How has it gone since your initial post in November, 2007? Have there been any other changes in you phycially in that area. Does it still get errect or is that a thing of the past? What are your wifes feelings about it now ... have they changed any? Is she still supporting your decision?
I have already had a vasectomy so what you did sounds like a very non-evasive approach to self-castration. I applaud you for acting on what you wanted to do. It took a lot of courage to put it on the line with your wife and actually follow though with it the way you did.
