Oh we never publish stories by folks who raid the refrigerator while naked. You must be wearing at least a bracelet! We have many female authors posted in the story archive. That is not an issue, nor should it ever even be considered.

Keep in mind ALL stories are reviewed before being put up. Stories are rejected occasionally, but my observation is not all that often. Keep in mind though, that Plix, our story maven, attempts now and again to have a life and so may not attend to stories as often as anxious authors might like.

Simultaneously, folks have sometimes had a hard time getting things submitted. Sometimes it is because our system screwed up (I haven't heard of anything recently), sometimes their's messed up, and others times they are ID-10-T errors (I make those a lot). If you don't see something after a few days, send a PM or an email to Plix. If all else fails, we'll ask the Bush to declare war on all those terrorist digital intercepts that are frying our internets.

My experience was that I sent a follow-up email when my story didn't appear -- not any kind of demanding email, just a polite message asking if my story had been rejected, and some advice as to what the problem was so that I didn't submit unsuitable stories in the future.

I received no reply to the email either -- and my story never appeared.

When my story Stefan and Tyler did not appear after four or five days, I wrote to Plix and he said that there was a formatting problem. It took about ten days but the story did show up.

Initially I thought I would be able to e-mail the author of each story that needed to be deleted and explain why, but unfortunately there have been too many deleted, and some authors leave an e-mail while others do not. So unfortunately the responsibility for determining why a story was rejected has to lie upon the author.

The guidelines for the stories can be found right here on the boards. If you read them and still do not understand which one (or more) was violated, then send me your story in an e-mail asking me to tell you what the problem is.

The most common reasons for rejections lately have been failure to separate the story into paragraphs, failure to place quotes around spoken words, or failure to capitalize "I". I have had a couple stories that I deleted because just about all of the spoken words were in statement form to avoid having to use quotes. By "in statement form" I mean something like "Bill told Mike that he was going to cut off his nuts tomorrow" (except without the quotes) - quotes in statement form are fine on occasion - but not all throughout the story.

Whatever the reason your stories were not accepted, I know for certain it was not because you are female.

I have had problems with e-mails relating to stories going into my junk folder which results in them getting mistakenly deleted. If I have not responded to anyone's e-mails, this is probably what has happened, and I apologize. But if you are e-mailing me to ask where your story is, I am only going to ask you to read the guidelines and determine on your own what the problem is - I may invite you to submit the story to me if you still are not sure.

Yes you can use the line, as I cannot claim the copyright, some years ago I was reading a book about the great Marilyn Monroe, and a reporter asked the great lady "was it true she did not wear any thing about the house"

Her reply was "That's not true at all I always have the radio on"

Well Sir before you ask, the same applies to me except on two occasions, once when i did a streak around a castle that i live near by for a bet and I won, The other time's is when the sun manages to shine and I can sunbathe in my garden.🙏
