BTW, MrT, I had a vasectomy when I was 28 (yikes, that was half a lifetime ago, maybe plix is right after all) so I was definitely unable to procreate. I was certainly male though. Not quite sure what I am now but I really, really like it![]()
Well I've had this issue running in my head for so long. As a more obvious example - When one of us has an orchiectomy (and optionally SRS) and goes on Estrogen and lives as a woman? Are they a woman? The "Everything you wanted to know about Sex" author (I think it was) said "no, these are just castrated men with fake vaginas."
I disagree. I've never been on Estrogen but I've lived part of my life with little enough Testosterone and seen how going on a normal male dose changes a person into being "male" Its a lot like the whole biz of cosmetic surgery. Is a person with a nose job a person still a person with a "nose" or is it a person with a fake nose? I think if you still blow with it you got a damn nose. And if you have a sex change and do everything BUT give birth? I think your still a woman. Otherwise every woman who is in menopause better stop calling themselves women. They are nothing more then "castrated" people wearing womens cloths.
If a person wants to define themselves as a male even tho they have no balls or they have "fake" (Yes - I hate that description) balls? I think its correct. And if a person is ok with it and wants to be labeled as a Eunuch? Hell... Why not?
Labels are not "bad" except that so often people use them to limit others to what their narrow minds will accept. Wow! Mr T = profound?! Or just too much coffee....
