I have had burns of several different kinds done to my penis. From hot coals, through cigarettes to a soldering iron. The pain is very different.

A cigarette has a very high temperature - higher then one would think - and it won't go out immediately on contact unless crushed against the skin. (Just as a cigarette left on itself will continue to glow and slowly turn to ash.) That way a skilled person can adjust the amount of pain (and damage) by how much pressure is applied (in contrast to most other objects that are either/or - full pain or no pain) as well as for how long.

I like that my penis has scars left on it from some of my former lovers. (For as long as it remains attached anyway... But I have their marks on other parts of the body as well.)

However, such burnmarks may become very deep if the heat is prolonged. And, if the skin ruptures, there will be ash and other particles in the wound. Although ash is not biologically active (the heat kills germs and microbes that may live on the tobacoo leafs) it may still contain some organic material that bacteriae may feed on and therefore lead to nasty infections. Clean the wounds very well and apply burn creams and/or disinfectants.

I agree with you about liking the scarring associated with burns and other forms of CBT - I would love to find a life partner who would be into scarification and other mods to my penis. The burn scar turns me on everytime I see it or think about it.

You might want to try burning yourself with a cigarette someplace else first, so that you have an idea just how bad a cigarette burn can be. Keep in mind that the skin on the penis is much more sensitive and vascular than the skin on other parts of your body, so the burn will be much more painful and unpleasant ... although conversely, it will heal more quickly and cleanly.
