Does anyone know if a chemically castrated man can respond to Viagra? I want my husband's libido reduced to almost nothing, but want to be able to enjoy things when I want them.

Viagra will not work for man with T at castration level. I know , I've tried it while on anti androgen. Castration with chemical or natural product such as Saw Palmetto is good to lower libido depending how much he takes but beware of sides effects. If he uses anti androgen for a long period of time like year or more he might lose the caspacity to produce natural testosterone therefore he will have to use hormonal therapy for the rest of is life. I hope you won't force him to take chemical or other natural product to reduce his testosterone without his consent.

My wife as had me chemically castrated for over two years and the two times we tired Viagra I was able to perform :dong:to her standards but with out it there is no way I can perform. We have also tried Androgel once and that worked also but I became very agressive for the entire day so we will be using that again.

I bought some Estradiol Valerate for 10mg/amp.

According to the suggested dose--------

20~40mg/ Bi weekly,I have questions :

1.Does 10mg / weekly equal to 20mg / Bi weekly?

2.Does 20mg / Bi weekly = (10mg+10mg) / Bi weekly?

Here some people said that 20mg not equal to 10mg+10mg.

Dose anyone can tell me which is correct?

Thank you !

First WARNING,
DonFL (imported) wrote: Mon Oct 15, 2007 6:52 pm Chemical castration and estrogen can cause irreversible effects even after short turn use. ...

To Lower Testosterone:

50mg 2x Day Androcur (Cyproterone acetate) also known as Cyproterone and Siterone

OR

100mg 2x Day Spirotone (Spironolactone)

OR

LUPRON DEPOT, every 4 Months 30 mg

(luprodepot is very stong but very expensive, androcur is next, spirotone is last but cheap)

-----------------------

Has anybody ever tried Lupron or other LHRH - products for chemical castration? I would like to use it for a test run of castration. Is it available without prescription in any online pharmacy? Does anybody know, whether the T-levels get back to normal afterwards, or will they stay below earlier levels?

Appreciate your comments,

Merlin

It seems that using 20mg at one time would give you a higher dosage than 10mg. ... ?

I've generally been doing 20-30mg's every two weeks and haven't had any major issues. :D

I've never tried Lupron even though I've thought about it. There was a pharmacy a few years ago that sold it without a prescription but it was $1800 for a 3 month shot. The thought of customs taking an $1800 syringe of lupron and the high overall costs prevented me from trying it. As far as your T levels returning to normal it depends on your body and how long you have been on it. I would say that anything over 6 months should be considered semi permanent to be on the safe side but results vary from person to person. If concerns of permanent damage are a problem I would steer clear of chemical castration. I had these concerns at one point a few years ago and it prevented me from going through with anything meaningful. Once I reached the point where permanent changes were not a concern anymore I decided to try out chemical castration in a serious manner. I'm currently on Androcur and Tamoxifen but it's still too early to sense any changes yet. Good luck with your situation and make sure that you are ready before you try something that could have permanent consequences. Also, Androcur alone or combined with Tamoxifen will castrate you as effectively as Lupron for a lot less money.

This is a great thread, full of useful information and experience. The one thing that worries me here is that there is no mention of the dangers of blood clots.

I am no expert and there are members here who can advise anyone taking hormones how to help prevent clots, which can and have caused stokes and death.

A small daily dosage of aspirin can help mitigate the risk.

Certainly anyone taking hormones should also consider clotting.

It would be great if the hormone advice also carried some clotting guidelines too.

Just a thought!

Just a fue month's back tried lowering T with cyproterone acetate. Took 25mg/day for 6 days. Sex drive took about 40 days to return to anything like normal. Very powerful stuff. Nice vacation from a very over active sex drive. Read online that the half life of this stuff is about 40 hrs@40yrs old and younger but increases to about 96hrs in men that were 70 yrs old. Another good reason to take very small amounts of this to start.

Last month I decided to try it with estrogen. after Just a fue days of T lowering I injected 10mg/ml Progynon Depot. For three full days I have never felt better in my life. I was stuned by how good I felt mentally and physically. My sleep has degenerated severly over the last 15 to 20 years. I now remember what sleep was like as a kid. lots of people my age lose any frame of reference for what really good sleep feels like. 3 nights of dead to anything sleep. I was off work for a fue weeks and injected 30mg in two weeks. every time the same thing, 3 days of just feeling unbelievibly good after an injection. felt a little tired but alert and sharp, no emotional down side at all. I'm wondering if its because estrogen increases serotonin. any one know? anyone have the same experience? I can't keep taking it because I could never live with breast. my nipples were sore after 3 shots so I had to quit. I'll most likly seek medical help, mybe an serotonin uptake inhibitor would do the same. Very glad I tried estrogen. But must agree with other comments on this thread.. Could be very addictive! Hope I find a better answer.

And yea since I'm over forty I took asprin. Blood clots worry me to.

Talk to your doctor about your DHEA levels and ask him/her about taking Melatonin. (Spelling?) As we age we loose the ability to make the right levels of this and it can ruin you whole day when your up all night.

I have a theory that Estrogen is addictive! One reason I don't want too much! ;-)
