As a daily reader of the storys in this site, a thought occored to me last night. Would any readers (female in my situation seeing as how I'm straight) be willing to read some of the stories and record that for others to listen to? It is one thing to read a document, but actually hearing someone say these things would be much more of a turn on. I dont know if an area could be set up on the board to post these aural stories, or if it could be done via email, etc. Also, I don't know if any of the authors would be against this, having their storys read aloud and reposted, nor do i know if anyone would be intrested in recording the stories.
Just a thought, what do you think?

Sounds like a grand idea to me. I'm sure that many people would love to hear some of these stories read aloud.

It's a cool idea, but there are several issues involved:
1. Disk storage. Even in MP3 format compressed down to below 128, the files would be HUGE. WAV files would be even bigger.
2. Download time - if you have a dial-up, like I do, and no hope of cable or DSL, forget it. It takes your average 28.8 person about 2 hours to get a 5 meg MP3 file, or MORE!
3. Being kicked off - and a program to support resume and manage the files.
4. Someone to read the parts.
5. And last but not least, BANDWIDTH. We suck up a huge chunk every day, and to be honest, we're lucky to just be able to have the Archive "as is" without multimedia embellishments. The front page rotating JPG images were bad enough, and I compressed the living snot out of those!

Not meant to discourage EmitsSparks because his is a good idea that has actually been raised by Talula before. It could perhaps be done by email somehow, or hosted off site if someone has webspace. Streaming media would be best to solve the long download times, and we have 0.00000% chance of getting a streaming media server here 
I think the biggest problem is Paolo's #4 ... someone to read the stories and make the recording. I *know* that no one would get turned on by ME reading them, right Paolo?
In any case I am glad EmitsSparks is enjoying the Archive and thinking about ways to enhance the experience.
If anyone has any ideas on this or other subjects, like Frasier Crane .... I'm listening!

Oh Goody,
Story Time! I can wait for someone to read me a good story about guys getting their male equipment sniped off. Oh to curl up to the computer with my blue blanky and some cookies and milk! Will it be a soft female voice reading how little boys get cliped? Or, how bout some MR.T sounding guy telling us how those "sukas" lose it all? Even better, a real eunuch could read in sotto voice sopprano.
Oh seriously, it's a good idea. But, try this mind blowing one:

Just think of all the people you'd like to meet eye to eye. I'd personally love to meet the authors of those great stories that have created those wonderful stories. I won't even begin to think and tease you about what could be going on in the hotel rooms. Ha! (where is that elastator on Ebay) There could be clinics on how to use emasculating devices, Dr. Spector could be there, people could sell leather outfits like the one Antonia wears, nuns in red could show up....the list goes on.
Hotels and convention centers are cheep these days, not to mention air fare. That would be one place I would be willing to fly.
Come on, I know Bboy has met and hosted people from the Archive. Why should those Midwesterns have all the fun?
